Topic: Should Wii U Chat be removed from the Wii Menu?

What's the point of demanding chat to be taken off of everybody's WiiU menu. The people who do use it, such as myself, would complain that it's gone.
Just because some people don't use it, doesn't mean others should go without.
A far more reasonable request would have been to ask for the option to be able to delete it yourself, and have the option to download it again from the eShop if need be.
I can think of far more useless things on the WiiU menu that I wouldn't miss. TVii, Health & Safety, Notifications, Game Logs. Get the point.
Besides, making demands makes you sound like a spoiled little kid. Putting things forward as a suggestion would get a far better response, and make you appear to be a far more reasonable person to deal with.

I think it'd be a cool idea for games like Donkey Kong Coutry Tropical Freeze that don't use the gamepad to make it so that you can at least use the gamepad as a Wii U chat extra. I'd enjoy playing games while talking with friends, this + Mario Kart 8 would be insane....but I'd rather use the bottom screen to view opponets items.

Also there need to be a better way to notify someone when someone else is calling. It takes forever for me to go from my game, open the call app and then answer a call. Needs to be improved, but there is a good idea here waiting to hatch.

I'd prefer to treat this thread as trolling, as the idea of removing a feature because you don't use it is plain ridiculous. How about instead of removing Wii U Chat, a perfectly working app harming nobody, Nintendo removes the TVii icon from the menu since it literally doesn't work in half the world? (and never will)

Nintendo really should market the Wii U with Wii U Chat. I'm thinking some like the below video highlighting the feature would sell some consoles.

Same here and I use the app at least once every week so I hope that Nintendo doesn't stop supporting the app anytime soon.

Just saying, some reasons that Nintendo could remove Wii U Chat in the future are the same reasons why Nintendo stopped Swapnote/Letterbox's online functionality. If something similar to what happened with Swapnote/Letterbox did happen again, Nintendo would most likely be forced to remove it. But there's always a possibilty that they might remove it before something happens to prevent going through the same PR troubles that occured during the Swapnote/Letterbox incident. Of course no one (expect maybe the OP) wants this to happen, but its still very much a possibility.

the real difference is that the WiiU is stuck at home so all the parents need to do is to look out, while with the 3DS there's no safe way to keep track on kids(as they need to go to school and can't be stopped from haging out with their friends even if only once in a while)

I play Hangman and Noughts and Crosses with my Nephew on Wii U Chat. Great stuff.

This is SUCH a big deal about nothing. So what, you don't use Wii U chat with people you don't know. So.... remove it so those who do use it can't?

This is clearly a troll thread I have no idea why people are still posting on this and the people saying "No Wii U Chat" don't want to talk with randoms that send friend requests to them, I can completely understand the females who do this from seeing first hand post made by hopefully 11-13 year old boys and not grown men about Wii U chatting girls.
