So recently I purchased an original NES and started playing it, realizing that the games remind me of when I would always be playing on my Wii. So I started trying to play some of my favorites again on my Wii U... MARIO galaxy, the LEGO games, Minecraft... etc. I’m to old and busy now to actually commit like I used to, but there are so many memories coming back and it hits me how nostalgic it all is.
Then I recently bought some COD and AC games for the Wii U because I legally can now and when I logged on today I was overwhelmed with a wave of emotion. I started thinking about how Miiverse is gone, and how I haven’t found anything like it. How I miss actually playing through levels that were fun and not monotonous. How much I miss playing online with people that I had never met, but neither of us cared, we just wanted some help building a house or a non-computer racer to play against.
I honestly miss being able to log on and have a community of people that were Nintendo fans and in the mood to play video games. I just want that back. Please. If y’all know of any social media type place where I can just log on and find people that want to play it would be greatly appreciated.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram are all places with gaming communities. Finding other people to play with isn’t really that hard if you just look around a bit.

@Charlie_Girl The problem with Facebook is that you are on Facebook. Which means that Facebook will do everything in their power/ability to infringe on your personal information and handle it poorly until caught. Then after apologizing, they will wait until no one is paying attention and do it again.
@Charlie_Girl Yeah, if you pull back the rug and turn on the light there is a quite a few roaches that scatter in the house of Zuckerberg. To quote the LA Times:
"How bad was it? Let us count the ways:
In March we had the Cambridge Analytica scandal, in which it was learned that Facebook made the personal data of 87 million users available, without permission, to a researcher who used the information for political purposes.
In September the company revealed that hackers had made off with information on 29 million Facebook users, including birth dates and phone numbers.
In November there were reports that Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg had mapped out an aggressive plan to manage the PR crises through deception, misdirection and attacks on critics.
In December came news that Facebook was sharing user data with its business partners without telling people.
And the hits keep coming. It was reported just the other day that the company had been quietly paying some users — including minors — $20 a month so it could spy on their phone and internet usage."
