A black cable, which is a normal USB cable with an USB logo and nothing who would refer to nintendo.
Metallic screw on the back.
Buttons have a strong feedback (but that's no bad point for me), stronger than all other controllers I ever held.
The L-Button has a more worse feedback compared to the R-Button (on the back).
The manuals are written in Japanese/Chinese (dunno) and english
I contacted the seller, this was the (nearly instant) response:
"I have just spoken with the supplier, he said these were original import controllers, but also I found your points on the internet.
I would suggest you send us the full goods back, we will cancel everything and send you the money back to your bank account."
I got this answer in less than 40 minutes. Not sure about the reliability.
That looks nearly identical to the fake I got. The first thing that caught my attention when I got mine was the USB cable. My cable, like yours, was black and not the long grey one the official Nintendo controllers come with. Aside from that and the incorrect Nintendo seal on the bottom of mine's box, there was little that visibly set it apart from the real thing. Mine also had issues with several of the buttons; up on the d-pad was spotty at best and the X button seemed to intrepret me holding the button down as me repeatedly tapping it. One final thing I noticed on my fake was that it didn't have rumble.
You seem to have an American version of the controller, judging by the text on the backside. The only noticeable difference I was able to spot, was that screw holding the battery cover is grey, whereas it's black in mine.
Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8

This was exaclty my tought. I compared the cable to other nintendo products. Other cables have the nintendo-logo on it. On mine there is nothing that refers to nintendo. I'll now edit the first post to add some details.

What about the cable? How do your cables look?
Greets
My fake came with a cable that looked very similar to yours. It was short and black and didn't have a Nintendo logo anywhere on it. I picked up a real one at retail and it has an extremely long grey cable that does have the Nintendo logo stamped into it. I have some comparison photos that I'll upload as soon as possible.
My PS3 controller is fake the only way you can tell is it says Sony Computer Enter tainment instead of Sony Computer Entertainment It is completely falling apart, and I hate it...
Yeah that's really crap! I mean, I paid for an original one, it says original, but it just look like one.
If I'd want to buy a cheap 3rd party product, I would spend lesser money than that.
I hope the seller will also spend me the money I need to send this poopiedoodoocacapoo back.
But I'm a bit confused, because you have (beside the given points) NOTHING who would tell, that this is a fake-product. Event the "Official Nintendo Seal" Logo is on the package, wtf!
OK here are some comparison shots of my fake Wii U Pro controller vs. the real one:
The fake controller is on top and the real one on bottom.
The fake is on the left and the real one is on the right.
The seal on the bottom of the real controllers box
The fake seal. Sorry for the blurriness of these pics, I couldn't get the camera to focus on the seals, but you can definitely tell they aren't the same.
The charging cables; the grey one is the official Nintendo one.
The real controller's battery cover. Note the text stamped into the plastic just below the cover.
The fake's battery cover.
Finally, the manuals. The real one is on the right in the plastic sleeve. The fake one wasn't in a sleeve.
Wow, I can't believe somebody is actually selling fake Pro controllers. How do you even get away with that and what's the protocol for what to do when this happens?
"Love your ego, you won't feel a thing, always number one, the pen with a bent wrist crooked king, sign away our peace, for your war, one word and it's over." ~ Deadmau5
You know, as I was rotating my completely new and unused controller around comparing it to your pics, it slipped and went straight into one of my iPad's sides.
First I want to thank you Ecto-1! This helped me and hopefully other users a lot!
Funny, that my "nintendo seals" logo seems to be correct.
@Everyone else:
I'm from Switzerland and I bought this controller from a local store called videogames.ch.
This shop has a REALLY high Userscore on one of our "shop-comparing" webpages I use often. But I don't believe that this is a "nintendo-certificated" shop, if something like this exists. But they really have a store somewhere here. I bought something there before more than a year, so this isn't a very new store.
So it is a totally new product and not from a second hand store.
I also didn't though that this would be possible, especially here. In the holidays it's clear that you shouldn't buy well known quality products (depending where you are).
I got my fake from an ebay seller. I had researched the seller and he had great reviews, he was even highly rated by other people that had bought Wii U Pro controllers. Fortunately, the seller did give me a full refund for it being defective in addition to not being authentic. The optimist in me would like to believe that the seller didn't know it was fake, but I know it is more likely that most of the other buyers don't realize its fake. And honestly, I wouldn't blame them; at first glance mine looked legit. Lesson learned: don't trust independant sellers on sites like Amazon and Ebay regardless of their ratings, at least where hardware is concerned.
Wow, that's actually a pretty good-looking fake
I could see how people could think that it was real if they didn't have another controller to compare it to
The USB cable is a dead give away, but there are also subtle differences, like font, thickness of text, the plastic around the base of the analog sticks, screws, etc., but Ecto-1 pointed out most of the differences. If you do order a controller online, just make sure you order it from the official Nintendo amazon account, or directly from their site
