Given the fact that Nintendo tries real hard to get us to buy the same games over and over (A Link to the Past on GBA VC should be expected in 2015), do you think there's a strong chance of the NES classic series games being released on the GBA VC?
Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the NES classic series just ports of the NES games like Super Mario Bros and Metroid and both Zeldas. If thats the case why would they do that if they already have the NES games on the VC?

Yeah. Super Mario Advance 2 and A Link to the Past is one thing, but there is no way they will release the NES series and they would be stupid if they ever did.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
The closest that you'll see to this is going to be the unlockable version of the original Metroid in Zero Mission, which runs on this same NES emulator.
@Don I don't actually think the GBA version for A Link to the Past on VC will happen, simply because half of the cartridge content would be unplayable due to laziness regarding multiplayer support. Of course you need other players (via link cable) to play Four Swords and given that not even Mario Party Advance has multiplayer support, there's no chance this would have any either.

That's a good point but doesn't the Mario Bros game included with the Mario Advance series also require other players via link cable to play? I might be wrong though since I haven't tested it out on the VC.

No, Mario Bros can be played alone in single player.
Didn't the Mario sports games on N64 for Wii VC also lack any way to unlock the GB Transfer Pak content?
Nintendo has shown they don't really care.
But on the topic, I don't expect the NES Classic Series to be released on VC. It's just pointless if you can already download the original versions in their proper aspect ratio. (since the GBA has a vertical resolution only about 2/3 the height of the NES, cropping was unavoidable. The horizontal resolution was 16 pixels narrower, but that's a negligible difference, especially since NES games had to worry about overscan)

I hope they do because I won't touch 50hz games.
The fact it supports more languages should be a good enough reason.
