So, yeah, seems like block spam is the only way to accelerate the unlocks. Which is... asinine.
Well, the Mushroom Kingdom won't be hurting for ? Blocks when I'm done.
I agree 100%. I think you and I are the only people on the planet who would just prefer to wait the 9 days and receive a drip-feed of the tools that way.
@DarthNocturnal: The tool sets should have unlocked after creating a stage and uploading it with everything you received in the previous delivery. You'd have ended up with a bunch of none levels, but they're in there anyway.
@blaisedinsd: no idea, but I'd like to know as well. Only sitting on 4 or 5 stars myself. Modified one course that people seem to be struggling with but don't want to loose any stars I got from the original, haha
I'd like NintendoLife to do a weekly top-5 of the best levels made by our community, and feature that on the website's front page.
What do you guys think?!

So I only have two courses uploaded. I don't like my first course very much, Pot with Johnny Hopkins. I didn't intend for all those enemies to be around at the beginning at once. The Chain-Chomps are supposed to fall down the stairs when you get to the stairs, and the Hammer Bro isn't supposed to jump out of his room I made for him. Sorry about that.
I still like my course The Montgomery Mile, though. But I'm working on a third course. Have been for two days. It's not supposed to be hard, it's very traditional. But I just don't know what to put down. I'm gonna take a break. I can't think of what to put down next.
I think some of you pump out levels too quickly and they turn out unorganized and unpolished. Take your time with them.
Wow, I'm late checking out this thread!
Everybody play my course! I put a lot of time and effort into it! ^w^

Play mine and I'll play yours. <3
If there is one lament I have with this game, it's how a lot of people skip levels without giving them a few tries at them. I get the notifications when someone plays one of my levels, so I look to see if they beat the level and I can tell how many times they tried the level before they eventually skip it. There have been a fair number of times where people just try it once before moving on and they die at spots that aren't exactly too tricky.
The problem is that this might instill a mentality that the stages have to be made easier so they can beat it on the first try without having to put in some effort, but I feel like my courses won't reach their full potential unless there's at least one challenging spot, whether it be a puzzle or a tricky bit of platforming. Levels stick out in our mind in past games because there was some obstacle that we were happy to overcome, and I feel that is lost in this game because we can skip levels whenever we please.
Of course, taking out the option to skip stages won't solve the problem, because there are some truly terrible levels that deserve to be carted off, sent into space, dropped into the water, or thrown to the dogs (depending on which direction you feel like swiping), but some good courses are being skipped because the option is there.
Just my two cents, really. I don't think there's a better option to what we have now, but it is an issue.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
