Topic: Kind of afraid my money was wasted.

I take just about every excuse to tell people that I got my gaming PC for $500, and it can run anything on the market on at least minimum setting easy, and if I wanted to upgrade my video card or CPU it would only cost me $100 a part. So that $700 for the PC and $200 for the upgrades and it should keep me going for the next 5 years or generation.

It's really not too hard to build a good gaming PC. And it covers almost every big game out there that Ninty won't/can't. I used to be solely PC before I knew Ninty.

i am kind of tight on currency XD. I can't afford a new PC. I just hope Wii-U sells out this holiday season when the new Mario 3D game is released. I hope the number of consoles is so large that third part developers can't resist developing blockbuster titles for it.

Fingers crossed that plenty of games will be making it to the Wii U but I'm fine with Nintendo's first party games. That is what I bought it for. Pikmin 3 is going to be so fun

Ace, don't sweat it man. We are entering a new age of video game development. Game engines are going to be much more customizable so they can run on all types of different electronics. You will see your multiplats on the Wii U.

Sell the lame thing and get the next Sony console!

Now, say it's ultra powerful... but, who cares, if it's $1000+? $500 maybe is the most most people would spend on a console. At what they're saying, it sounds like it'll be nice, sure, but if it's what they say it is, expect $1000+ consoles and $100 games from Sony.

Right? This just sounds like PC eletist talk anyway, as within the last 2-3 years I needed a new PC, and the prebuilt I bought wasn't cheap, but well over capable of handling most current gen games these days anyway..

Just forget about the silly console wars and join the true idort master race.

@DaveGX Never ever buy a prebuilt gaming PC. You pay a premium for the HP or Lenovo sticker on the front. If you're gonna be gaming on a PC, either build your own or have someone build it for you. You'll save tons of money and learn lots of new stuff in the process.

It's insane to commit to only one thing and rob yourself of all the amazing experiences out there because you want to be "loyal". You could be having so much more fun man.

And then there's the wannabes that pay for leet head-shot wall-hax or someone else's ranked character with PCs... look as sexy a you want but drop kicks will spoil you online experience. That's why I quit PC gaming after playing 10 - 15 years of catch-22 catch-up - I don't want to turn down my settings, I want the programmers to be smarter but faster hardware just makes for fatter lazier code, unlike consoles where the programming gets smarter. Plus PCs can be a bitch to get working with certain mixes of hardware. Consoles 'just work' because, like CrApple, the hardware spec remains limited, so games for the most part will run perfectly on anyone's console - as long as the console and media are in good condition - and the code is not buggy.

If you buy a PS4,Nintendo will hate you for eternity.

Who caresd if ypou pay an extra fee? What you think you're nbot paying extra for individual parts, and then what happens when better games come up and oh wait, you need to upgrade those parts then too? Meanwhile I mightas well be set for a few years down the line and not have to. The point is those PCs built for it asre mostly garunteede to do their part when used and taken care of properly. Also, building a PC isn'5t simple, as much as PC eletists like to sugar coat it, it's not like building blocks. You simply have to have the experience to do so.

As far as console wars, there's always going to be a problem regardless of PCs. Multiplat games are another addition entirely that just makes things all the more worse so people can compare this and that, and flame 1 another over which tey think is better. Personally, I'd rather do without, thatw ay everybody has to give each 1 a fair chance if the game itnerests them that badly.
