It seems inevitable to me that Nintendo would release GameCube games on VC because the Wii had released games on the Wii VC that were from two generations back which was N64 games so it seems obvious that Wii U would support GameCube games because two generations back from the Wii U is GameCube. So I'm wondering what GameCube games you would like to see come out first...
I'm hoping for:
WarioWare Inc.
Mario Kart Double Dash
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros Melee
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Killer 7
Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat (No idea how it would work, but I love this game)
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Resident Evil Zero
Super Mario Sunshine
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
F-Zero GX
Custom Robo
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Origins
Skies of Ardadia Legends
Capcom vs. SNK 2
I never played Baten Kaitos, Doshin the Giant, PN 03, Viewtiful Joe 2 and many others. I think a Gamecube VC could cost me thousands of pounds if it had a full library
I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.
Kirby Air Ride
Luigi's Mansion (Sure, it uses the... analogue? is that the right word? It uses the analogue triggers, but I don't recall them actually being necessary to use. I remember it just being that you could vacuum slower if you wanted but there was no reason to do so)
Super Monkey Ball 2 would be cool
Super Mario Sunshine (This DOES use the analogue triggers, but that could be fixed by using ZR for standing still spraying and R for spraying while walking. Select could be used to bring up the map.
Paper mario most definitely, not sure what else. I recently got f-zero gx, melee and double dash, so im not sure what else. Perhaps animal crossing? see where it started i guess
Proud Samus main for ssb4!

Eternal Darkness, since that was one of the few highly-regarded GameCube games I missed out on. Same goes for Skies of Arcadia Legends and the Baten Kaitos series.
i thought i remember them saying or at least hinting that there would be gamecube games available for download at some point on the wii u. i was really excited for it, and i guess i just couldn't wait long enough because i now have way more gamecube games now than i did back in the day. even if they actually do release any now, i probably wont get them because i have most of the games ive wanted to get already.
Luigi's Mansion (Sure, it uses the... analogue? is that the right word? It uses the analogue triggers, but I don't recall them actually being necessary to use. I remember it just being that you could vacuum slower if you wanted but there was no reason to do so)
The Elements use the analogue feature. Click for a burst and hold lightly for a stream. But, like you said, they can just map those actions to ZL and L.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
Mario Sunshine used the crap out of analog triggers. I'm sorry but I don't see that one happening anytime soon. Luigi's Mansion was kind of the same (Analog L button was used for spouting fire, water, and ice).
I wouldn't mind Smash Bros. Melee or Metroid Primes though.
