I'm not sure what your point is, but nice job avoiding the rest of my reply. lol
The rest of your reply is worthless. Wii U owners are well aware that it lacks 3rd party games. We don't actually need you to enlighten us.
Even without 3rd party games though, it still has more games I care about coming out Nov 2014 - June 2015 than either of the other two consoles put together.
Hell, the Vita has more games that I care about coming out in that time frame than the PS4.

Are you content with playing a new game (that is published by Nintendo), every couple of months?
Do the franchises you've been experiencing for years wear you out?

Yeah, and if all those absent games were coming, you would be one happy Nintendo fan.
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
I don't know what third party games I really care that much about this year anyway. There's Shadow of Mordor and the New Assassin's Creed but I don't think either will be huge "must haves". Titanfall? I couldn't care less about. Destiny? Well yeah, maybe, but the Halo collection thing is maybe more interesting. If I was really into FIFA then that would definitely be one but I'm not at all into FIFA. The other big one is Watch Dogs which personally I both don't care about and is headed to Wii U anyways.
Meanwhile the Wii U has Kart, Smash and Bayonetta 2. So no contest really... this year at least...

My games build up faster than I can play them as it is. Including VC and eShop, I own 44 Wii U games. I've finished like 10 of them. Even if the Wii U was the only system I owned, my backlog would be massive enough that I don't really need to buy any new games for a long time. But I will anyway. There's four games coming out on Wii U before the end of this year alone that I will buy.
By this time next year, my Wii U library will probably be around 70 games*. I bought a launch PS3 in 2006 and I currently have 61 games for it.
*If you do the math, that's around 26 more games than I currently own. But I thought there was only one game coming out on Wii U (published by Nintendo) every couple of months! How weird! (。々°)
Do the franchises you've been experiencing for years wear you out?
Of those 44 games I have, 29 of them are either from IP created within the last 10 years or IP I've never tried before this gen. But even just the remaining 15 games, no I'm not tired of those IPs at all. I wouldn't have bought them if I was. Silly question.

What games? The only currently announced game exclusively for PS4 that I care about is Disgaea 5. Everything else is either also coming to PS3 or not in my interest. Right now, Fatal Frame V not being localized is killing me more than any 3rd party game not coming to Wii U.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
Believe it or not, there's this whole subculture in the gaming scene that really has no interest in whatever majorly hyped ultraviolent interactive movie is coming out next. They tend to congregate on sites like this one. It kind of baffles me how you managed to find this place, actually. It's like you somehow got lost and ended up in here in confusion going "Man, what's up with all the people who like Nintendo around here?"
No it's not, it's a matter of taste. None of the big multiplatform games from this year have really caught my eye. Assassin's Creed Unity I'll probably just wait for a sale, Rise of the Tomb Raider does interest me but it won't be a "this year" game and neither will Batman: Arkham Knight. Beyond that? Destiny doesn't really interest me that much, Dark Souls isn't my thing and Shadow or Mordor I'm not really sold on. Alien Isolation maybe but the reviews have been depressing. Watch Dogs? Meh, I'll just wait for GTA to come to PC.
But on the Wii U there's Smash Bros, Kart and Bayonetta 2. IMO those are all must have games. So yeah, this year? For me it's no contest. The Wii U has more interesting games. Not forgetting all of the "padding" with indie games which the Wii U has been doing pretty well.
Ignoring indie/eshop games devalues any serious discussion that can be made in this tread. Same thing is happening on PS4 forums, people ignoring Indies despite some of them outshining most retail titles.
To add my 2 pence though, i don't even look at each year of a console and compare to see which one is best, i'm too focused on playing current games and looking forward to new releases. Both years have had amazing game experiences that have stuck wit me and i'm sure next year will also. As a multi-console owner who can afford to buy a large amount of games i don't have the whole "fan boy", " i can only buy 2 games a year" or "grass is greener" mentalities though.
Also as almost everyone including the OP has demonstrated it doesn't matter how many games are released if "X game doesn't interest me" or "i don't like those types of games", its all subjective and relative to the person buying the games and their personal preference.
For me 2nd year has been better purely due to the top tier exclusive games, I'd rather have 1 top tier must have every 3 months than a good/mediocre release every week.
This topic is mostly about preference and for me the cross platform games aren't a big issue because they're cross platform. I can pick most of the games for PC, failing that the PS3. The reason the U shines for me is the top quality exclusives which are massively lacking on other consoles. That said though of course it would still be nice to have the cross platform games on the U.

In Year one, I bought quite a few games, since there was a lot more to choose from. This year, I bought only 3. Year One wins by far. Next year will probably be better, even if I go by just the Nintendo-published exclusives.
Considering it took until after E3 2014 for me to take the Wii U plunge, definitely year 2. There are still games from launch that I'd love to get around and buy, eventually, but with Mario Kart 8 and Bayonettas 1 and 2, I have plenty to keep me occupied. Heck, I only have 5 games for the Wii U so far, and I spend far more time on it than I should, considering I have tons of studying to do.
I would like to eventually get around to Deux Ex, Monster Hunter, ZombiU, but I still haven't even beaten Wind Waker HD, I've only played Bayonetta 1 (haven't beaten it yet, so I can't play B2!), and Mario Kart 8 has some DLC coming soon. When do I even have time? And that's not even mentioning Smash coming up.
I've been very satisfied with the Wii U, and next year seems to be even better.

I'll never understand the "Vita has no games" meme. It seems like the Vita has had a really solid title of some sort come out every few weeks since the end of last year. This year was absolutely stellar for the Vita's lineup.

As far as I know, the Vita actually has more games than the 3DS, though it probably depends on the metric. If you go by just retail games, it may be the 3DS, but including eShop/PSN exclusives, VC/Classics, and backwards compatibility with DS/PSP... yeah, I think the Vita library is bigger.
As with the Wii U, "has no games" generally just means "doesn't have enough AAA-budget M-rated murder sims."
I liked the 2nd year a lot more than the first since I'd pretty much played all of those 3rd party titles elsewhere and that was essentially wasted on me. Also, Bayonetta 2.

Memes and internet parrots are a nasty combination of stupidity and ignorance. Gonna be diggin' into Tales of Hearts R like a mad man, personally.
The thing about the Vita is that if you go down the list of top rated games for this year on metactiric only one is a Vita exclusive and the vast majority are indie titles. Head over to the 3DS and 8/10 of the top ten for the year are 3DS exclusives of which 5 were full retail titles. So when people say the Vita has "no games" they don't mean it has "no games". They just mean that as nice as it is they got Luftrausers, Minecraft and Fez those aren't games you buy a system for. You can play those games on a five year old netbook that runs Linux....

Western critics tend to prefer Western games (with the definite exception of Nintendo titles, which seem to be popular everywhere). As such, amazing exclusives like Danganronpa 1 & 2, Freedom Wars, Shinovi Versus, Demon Gaze, Ys: Memories of Celceta, and Toukiden tend to score lower on a website that accumulates Western reviews. Also, I should point out that by your standard (that the games are available elsewhere), it would make more sense to say that systems like the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbone have no games, considering the huge number of multiplatform titles in their libraries. I can play the vast majority of the best games on those systems on my PC or on my Vita. I guess they're worthless systems.
The Vita also has unprecedented access to a huge library of awesome older PS1 and PSP games, along with select PS2 and PS3 games. Be honest: everyone here would freak out if Nintendo's handhelds had that kind of access to their previous console games.
The problem is that a lot of the Vita's library isn't retail, so people tend to ignore it.
I love the 3DS, but the Vita has had, by far, the superior 2014 lineup.
