The Gamepad would work great with a Metroid game, having the Gamepad as your first person view, and the tv for a third person view. There would be no need for awkward transitions between the two. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone bring this up yet.
Maybe YOU need those games, but the general gaming audience certainly doesn't (aside from MG 3). Maybe nintendo needs to focus on games that will actually sell and appeal to non-nintendo gamers. Just a thought. Especially if you want the wii u to suceed.

Wow, 3 years. No offense, but have you ever heard of The Last Guardian? No, it's not a sequel, and it has been officially announced, (unlike Super Mario Galaxy 3 and Beyond Good And Evil 2, which I am still waiting for as well) but holy crap. WHY?
While I wouldn't say no to a new Metroid or Star Fox installment, what we really need is better 3rd party support and 1st party titles that don't milk the same franchises they've been using for 25 years. We need more titles like ZombiU, Wonderful101, Dreamfall Chapters, Child of Light, X, etc.

A new Paper Mario, more like the first 2 games in the series. I'm replaying the first one right now, but I'd really love a brand new one to go through!
