Just wondering what you'd all like to see in future updates on the Wii U console?
I'll start us off:
1) A nice easy one to start with, already been mentioned by many people, speeding up the various menus/channels loading times is a must, and hopefully is something that can easily be improved (& soon!).
2) Wii stuff on Wii U - I'd love to see Nintendo continue to work on the Wii side of things on the Wii U, I understand it will never be seen as a priority on a new system, but, there are many great! Wii games around, loads of top quality exclusive titles, and at the moment there are not many Wii U games worth owning, so I think Nintendo should keep working on little things to improve performance of Wii games on the Wii U, also having a few more options like you had on the actual Wii console would not go a miss, I don't like how everything feels so dumbed down on the Wii U, I really hope Nintendo don't leave things how they are and move on, I feel it would be a mistake.
3) A Wii U "Nintendo Channel" would be nice, build on the one that the Wii had.
4) Virtual Console with GameCube games to download and possibly Dreamcast games as well is a feature I'm sure would be popular with many gamers, and who knows could help shift a few more Wii U's in the process, I know lots of people that loved many games on the GameCube and would be thrilled to have the chance to download them.
I'm sure there are many more things I could think of, but these are some of the first things that come into my head.
Merging of the Friends List and Miiverse or make the Friends List more useful (cause the FriendsList is pointless atm, adding friends on it is even more bothersome than on Miiverse..)
Add folders (like on the 3DS)
Virtual Console added to the eShop
User accounts (not having everything bound to the system itself)
Give all of the apps Wii Remote pointer/joystic compatibility (if the pad breaks right now, your screwed)
Add more clothes/hats or options in general to customize your Miis
You should be able to write more than 100 letters on Miiverse, take away the limit
Make the WiiU able to read SD cards right of off the built in SD card reader
All I can think of at the moment.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again
I want everything @19Robb92 said, plus a double order of lock fix. I'm not playing my Wii U as much as I want to because I'm afraid it'll lock and removing the cord makes me paranoid. Nintendo already promised that, though, so... I'm really loving the Wii U as it is, it needs some stuff ironed out though. Merging Wii games in would be great too, I haven't even played any Wii games yet on my Wii U because needing to access another menu to do it is just stupid, and I'm not sure why that was nessicary.
I'd like to see the wii stuff more naturally integrated with the wii U. Just skipping the wii menu if you select to play disc in the wii U menu would be an improvement, and that could be followed up with shortcuts to channels on the wii from the wii U menu. Or moving the VC and Wiiware to the Wii U proper, with maybe another account transfer and redownload. Or just have the wii menu load up faster.
So many improvements to be made.
(Also, SD card compatibility would be nice. 128 gb sd card in the Wii U would be way better than a 2 TB hard drive)
I just want TVii and I'll be set until the end of the year.
Here is a new petition to get Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengence on the Wii U!!!

VC and Wiiware being able to be used on wii u.
Faster os loading
Cloud saves
The only thing I would like to see is faster OS loading. It really is quite horrendous.
I do not think that WiiWare and Wii Discs titles running straight from the Wii U OS is likely. Most likely, the Wii U OS provides a different system API from the Wii OS. Wii software would be unable to execute properly directly from the Wii U OS if this were the case.

Your Wii U should never lock/freeze. If it does, send back to nintendo becouse it's defective.
