Topic: Error Code 118-0516 (Splatoon, Mario Kart 8)

Hey guys,

i was very excited to play Splatoon yesterday and shortly after that very frustrated: Every time i try to enter a Online-Lobby i get the error code 118-0516. Same in Mario Kart 8, although a week before it worked properly in MK 8 and the Global Testfire. I tried to set a static IP-Address and enable it in the DMZ of the router, as recommended by Nintendo. Unfortunately my router has no DMZ settings i can change.

Searching the Internet for hours i figured out it could have something to do with IPv4 and IPv6 Addresses as my provider (Unitymedia Germany) uses DS-Lite.

Please help me, i want to ink around too -.-

Router: Technicolor TC7200
Internetprovider: Unitymedia

Hi man, I dont know if youre German, I am, but i got the exact same problem here.
For real I got the same Provider, same router and it doesnt work for me in splatoon and mario kart 8 since the 29th of May.
A few minutes ago i changed the security settings. I changed it from WPA2-PSK (AES) to WPA2-PSK (TKIP)

If you got some more infos, pls tell me

I even called the Nintendo support, and they told me to forward the ports of the router.

I mean no offense because I'm also part German, but these forums are English only. Also the issue is occurring here in NA as well, I'm not exactly sure what's causing it, but I plan to contact Nintendo regarding this on Monday.
