Topic: Ducktales Remastered being removed from the Wii U eShop (Now back on the Wii U eShop)

It came to my attention that Ducktales Remastered is being removed from the Wii U eShop, as well as other digital storefronts.

Just want to let others know about this removal and if they want to grab it before it's gone. It is worth noting, this one does have a physical release as well.

Edit: As of March 3rd, the game is now back on the eShop. Updating the title to reflect this.

I wonder if this isn't related to licensing. 🤔 In any case, I'm good; I picked it up on sale on my Wii U a couple years ago.

@Tyranexx That would be my guess too. Same here, I actually picked up a physical copy for Wii U a few years back when I stumbled across it as a friend had recommended it. Did buy it on Steam today just to have it for PC.

Thanks for giving the news about this. I've meant to purchase Ducktales over a year but kept putting it off until I forgot about the game. Sucks that this has to happen to good quality licensed games.

Yea i saw this earlier on Nin.Ethu and all i needed to read was being removed on Thursday and 75% off. After about 10 minutes of searching Eshop i realized i actually did need to read more. As it's only for the Wii U and a couple of other systems but not the Switch.

Well i downloaded Steam and bought this game for under $4 with tax. This is literally the first time i've played a computer game since Diablo and Doom in the 90's. Well as long as you don't count preinstalled solitaire.

I can't remember if I bought this or not....I guess I try to track down a copy at gamestop.

Is this that good of a game? It's only $4 on the eshop and physical copies on Amazon are upwards of 25 for new.

I agree. It's a fantastic platformer! Even if anyone hasn't seen the show, I still recommend it.

This is must own at that price, especially if it’s going away. I thought it was one of the better games on the WiiU eShop, and I think physical had a low print count. Get it while you can, better late than never.

@1UP_MARIO @Tyranexx Now I need to find time to play it. When I picked this up, I played for a bit, then ended up packing it as I was moving at the time, never got around to playing more of it. I keep hearing good things about it, and the bit I played was pretty fun.

I already have it on wiiu, but I'm considering buying for another system. I'm trying to decide between steam and xbox.

I absolutely would love it on my ipad, but it seems the mobile versions are not up anymore.

edit: went with xbox since the steam page has some mentions of a game breaking bug in some reviews.

Sadly any memory of this game will be a duck blur.

Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes... deleted from servers.

Just bought it. I haven't seen much of the show, nor have I played the NES original, but I might as well give it a go if I won't have another chance. I remember ONM's review saying DuckTales Remastered is not as good as the original game, but that seems to be quite an unpopular opinion.
