Out of curiosity how would you use the game-pad in a 2d platformer that didn't feel gimicky? Other than that i agree with your points, i too would rather a new prime game than this. But hey this sells better and is almost a perfect platformer, i love me some DK country
One option: Give each of the two players their own screen and allow them the freedom to explore the level each on their own. Of course, using that mechanic, it would be ideal if the levels had multiple paths.
@19Robb92: There's unlockable music like last time, but I hope that we can unlock all of the music instead of just a select few. I really didn't like that in Returns.
Sweet!
I hope so as well. I didn't care much in Returns, because most of the track & remixes were pretty unmemorable in that game IMO. But this time everything just sounds amazing. I don't think I've heard a single track I've disliked and each stage seems to have it's own track or remix of a track. They better make them all unlockable!
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again
I keep telling myself NOT to watch videos, look at screenshots, etc. since I'll be reviewing the game on my talk show, but DAMN IT I KEEP WATCHING VIDEOS AND LOOKING AT SCREENSHOTS!!!
I know I'm gonna play GrassLand Grove endlessly. It chould probably be one of my favorite levels in the whole game. It's a savannah level. Savannah levels in video games are always good. Escpiecally 3D World's amazing savvanha level(s), that was absolutely georgous to look at.
Reasons for me to get it:
1. Never owned a Donkey Kong game
2. love 2D platformers
3. Winter and viking themes
4. Cranky Kong
5. beautiful 1080p 60 fps graphics
6. David Wise music
7. Not that expensive (compared to other new games)
Reasons not to get it:
1. Looks a bit childish (not a valid complaint)
2. no online play (surprise surprise)
3. no Gamepad functionality (i take issue with this)
