This OFFICIAL level made by the Disney 3.0 Developers not only rips off Splatoon's gameplay, they copied the Arowana Mall map too! It's even called "Squid Wars" even though it has nothing related to Squids at all!
I think the issue is that the Developers blatantly "borrowed" from Splatoon by using its unique lingo, concept, and exact map design, without crediting or even mentioning Splatoon. They did it without Nintendo's permission by the looks of it and appear to be taking credit for it.
So I don't know anymore. I've been researching and discussing this with others on whether or not Disney is directly responsible for this, but it's all to confusing.
Ooh, ooh! Do Sunshine next, Disney!
Super Mickey Sunshine, has to clean up some mysteriously colored....p-p-paaaaaaaarmesan...cheese. And collect Shine Medals. I tried, shut up
Meh, I ain't even mad. It's nothing new to me to see Disney copy something, but this is just a freakin' level made to showcase the amount of variety the toy box allows. Sure, it's pretty shameless of them to even call it Squid Wars and almost copypaste the description of Turf Wars right out of the game, but in the end it's just a level made under the restrictions of the level creator.
To me, the fact that it seems to be from the dev team themselves makes it no different than a regular player doing so, since they don't seem to have used any developers tools to create it. No big deal, I say. If it was, companies across the globe would lose their minds over certain Super Mario Maker creations.

Well it does say "Created by the Dev Team" on the Twitter image.
THIS IS HORRID.
I think it's Disney's fault, but it could change. The face that it is "created by Dev team" makes it seem like it's just a blinking clone, trying to stop sales of Splatoon.
I'm more confused. This is almost surreal to me. I'm struggling to think of a game that's so blatantly copied a game or to be more accurate, was this astonishingly carefree about blatantly taking ideas from a major release that came out LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AGO. This is a copyright nightmare, unless Nintendo approved it beforehand.
I see it as the Dev Team has been enjoying Splatoon and saw they could make a light version in their own game. I don't see the big deal, outside of it being cool that they are that big of fans of Splatoon
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
