I'm a Wii U owner, and I will say this: I DO NOT want Final Fantasy XV for the Wii U.
Why? It will just be a port, and for the most part, ports FAIL. Case in point: Why isn't SE releasing the game for the Xbox 360 and PS3? Is it perhaps because it can't handle the same kind of power as the Xbox One and PS4?
Let's face it: the Wii U is a 7th gen console in an 8th gen's clothing. Otherwise, we would be hearing much more about the Xbox One and PS4 games also for the Wii U.

Why? Even though the Dreamcast failed commercially, it was still an awesome game console, and that's beside that Nintendo isn't exactly in the same position as Sega was, all those years ago.
@Everyone. I could respond again to all of the arguments being presented, but it would be the same things I said earlier. No new information is being presented, and we are in an argument that no one will win. I think I won, but everyone against me thinks they won. In reality, none of us won or lost, as the port hasn't happened yet. I'm not saying I'm wrong, I'm just sick of responding to the same arguments over and over, and I'm sure you all are too. I don't want to keep wasting my or anyone else's time, so let's just agree that no one can win in this debate unless Square-Enix ports the game, and then we'd just see what happens. Again, I'm not saying I lost, but this has gone on long enough. We got over 400 comments, and that's great. But let's just get our free time back.

Again, they probably won't, but if the fans demand it they will, although it isn't likely that they will. Agreed?
I think the real problem is that there is not enough fans for SE to justify a port to Wii U atm maybe in the future if the install base balloons like the Wii did but thats just an my own optimistic pipe dream.

That'd be cool. Real cool. And I think there may be enough Wii U exclusive owners who are RPG fans that would buy a port, but I guess I have no real proof, yet my previous calculation says there is. Again, if you disagree, that's fine, but I don't want to get in another argument.

I think this thread can come to an abrupt end for not one Final Fantasy game will ever be released for the Wii U.
... except maybe the old Final Fantasy games on the NES and SNES, but even then, Nintendo are doing a poor job of keeping up with the Virtual Console bobbins therefore chances of this happening is just as slim.

Most PS2 games were either designed for the console and then ported to Xbox, PC,and Gamecube, or were PC/Xbox downports, yes. "Basically every game the PS2 got, was an Xbox port, so..." is not true at all though. I'm not even sure where to begin. MGS2 and 3 for example were designed as PS2 games first, Xbox ports second.
Yes the Wii U's GPU is more powerful than PS360's, but the CPU isn't and runs at less than half the clock (though clock by itself means almost nothing.) How many times have we seen the 8 year old 360 outperform Wii U ports? Oh yeah, lazy devs right? How about weak hardware?
It also makes no financial sense to port a game that won't get PS360 downports to the Wii U.

I just want to say that a Wii U port would be smarter than a PS360 port because Microsoft and Sony are trying to move customers onto the PS4 and Xbox One, while Nintendo is trying to move customers to the Wii U.

Dude, you're ignorant as hell. If you seriously don't think Wii U can run 8th gen software, you have less logic than a zombie.
I'm not even kidding. I realize that Xbox One and PS4 are capable machines, but denying that the Wii U is capable as well, put you in the ignorant crowd.
All these devs need to do, is allow the GPGPU to do more than the CPU. The CPU won't be lacking, if they leverage its capabilities with the GPGPU.
EDIT: Also, plenty of games were built around Xbox and PC in 6th gen. It's easier to port things down, than it is to port up. Otherwise you're adding features that could have ben finished, BEFORE porting.
Wii U is an entirely different machine than the Xbox One and PS4. There's no point in comparing specs. The architecture is a dead give away that specs can't even be compared, straight out.

Numbers do not always mean what you think they mean. If that was the case, we would all have the same currency. That's why comparing 8GB of RAM, to 2GB of RAM, doesn't really mean anything, unless you know what the said numbers mean.
