Topic: Demand Final Fantasy XV on the Wii U

SCAR392 says it's running on some new 8th gen engine or something that runs on all 8th generation consoles. You don't have to be too nervous, and if you want FFXV on the Wii U, make that vocal.

Your "math" seems to be only pure speculation rather than actual data. That's the problem. You can't use pure speculation to prove anything. These large companies see the PS4 flying off shelves and Wii U constantly getting below par sales.

I also have to tell you something, SCAR doesn't know anything about what the Wii U can handle and it's power. He makes things up to support what he wants to see. Trust me, he has a long long record of doing this.

All of his sources and argument looked pretty solid to me. Unless you can prove to me he lies frequently, I can't believe you.

I'm not sure lye is the right word or not, because I'm pretty sure he believes what says. As for proof, if they drop back the thread, I can give you a lot of testimonies on the matter.

I Would Like to see KH3 on Wii U

Chrono, Aviator, and a number of other users can confirm the history with SCAR I talked about. He's somewhat well known for it.

Oh we've brought it up, but it never leads to anything. You're just the first person whose ever believed him outright, at least to my knowledge. But if you want examples:

From what I'm getting from that link, it sounds like it's mearly a component in the development process. Also, from the very links SCAR provided, it sounds like the Wii U doesn't support DirectX11 natively and must be adapted, requiring extra effort. I don't see anywhere where FFXV utilizing DirectX11 would make the process easier, let alone guarantee a port...

I don't claim to know everything about the technical aspects of consoles, but some of the things companies have accomplished with porting are incredible. I can't see how FFXV couldn't be ported to the Wii U.

I don't claim to know how this stuff works, so what I say may not apply, but Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Project CARS, and WATCH_DOGS all use DirectX11.Again, I don't know if that's relevant.

But I do know that Project CARS is a very good indicator of if FFXV can work on the Wii U. It is on Windows, Linux, SteamOS, PS4, Xbox One, AND THE WII U! It runs only on computers and 8th generation consoles, including the Wii U. That should be proof that games that run on the PS4 and Xbox One can run on the Wii U.

So are we all good now? We've established that it is possible, although it would have to take a technical hit, but it's unlikely that Square-Enix will do it.
I think if fans made it vocal that they wanted it on the Wii U that Square-Enix would port it, but fans have probably accepted the fact that it isn't coming to the Wii U, so there's nothing they can do about it. But if those fans did become vocal, I think Square Enix would port it. But it would need to be a large fan community pushing for it.

Nobody said it couldn't happen. I certainly didn't. We're only saying it would take more effort than its worth, and the results wouldn't be the best. Why should I want a port on the Wii U when the game won't be as great as it would be on the PS4 and probably cost the company even more money than they've already spent on this one game? I think I got better things to hope for, like that I might get a job soon so I can save up for a PS4...

I understand that you are not my target audience. I am targeting that group of Wii U exclusive owners that like JRPGs. That's the group I'm in, and I understand that not everyone is in that situation, but for the people who are in that situation, asking for FFXV on the Wii U is our only hope.
EDIT: And I'm not sure, but I think some people did say it wasn't possible.

Well on the other hand, Square Enix wants MILLIONS of sales on each platform, not a "measly" 400,000...

Look at how they reacted to Tomb Raider's 4 million sales....which weren't good enough

^It's not like it's impossible to save up for a PS4. It'll be a year or two before it comes out, the PS4 will likely go down a bit in price by then, and if all else fails, you could always pick it up when the price is right and you have the money. It's Final Fantasy, it's not like it'll be hard to get a few years after release. Maybe by then the PS4 will have more games that interest you, and if not, that just means you can sell it for a small depreciation when you're done with it.

Not saying to give up hope for a Wii U version, but it's not "your only hope".
