Topic: am I the only one who finds the desgin of the wii U console a bit underwhelming.

The DS and 3DS look primarily the same to this non DS owner.

Does it really matter?

Does anything discussed on these forums really matter?

I don't think he deserved that kind of reply. All he was trying to say is that these forums don't really catch his attention anymore with the lack of meaningful discussions. All we see on this site are "Game vs. Game" like polls, "What's your favorite?" and the occasional "What do you prefer?".

The worst part about all this is that when we DO get a potentially good discussion going someone either derails it or it never lifts off. That or it's just a fale troll.

Well, some things I think have more purpose than others... But I feel that this is a little pointless... If it was about the colors available at launch, then sure, I guess it would have more purpose than it does now, but the actual design of the system isn't going to matter since you don't look at a PS360 and say, "Ooh, that's so bulky and underwhelming," you buy it and the only time you ever look at the thing is when you are putting the discs in or taking them out.

Fail.

I like it. It looks really 'clean' IMO.

The Wii does look nicer and more appealing though.

Well I enjoy Visual and Industrial design so how a console is desgined is important to me.

Underwhelming? Not me. I'd actually say it's overwhelming...ly large. I seriously have nowhere I could put that stupid thing...

so i'm guessing i should've used more question marks, exclamation points, and smileys in order to fully get across the fact that I was messing around. thanks for the feedback, i'll be sure to apply it next time i attempt to make light of what is clearly a dreadfully serious situation.

Here's the thing, nothing was crackin' on the Wii U forum so why not bring up something, anything to discuss no matter how pointless it may be? I'm here because its fun to mix it in while I'm working. If someone is not having fun on these forums discussing video games which have no real significant importance to our existance then I question why are you here. If you find a topic that you think is lame I don't see a point in asking what's the point? Either actively particpate in the discussion or ignore. _{Get's off my soapbox}

I seem to remember the Wii U being Overly long, though the recent pictures seem to say otherwise.

At least it doesn't look like a toy like Gamecube or N64.
