Xbox Conference: I could see myself playing ReCore, ScaleBound, Cuphead (and probably some of the other indies, but they went by too fast), and maybe Gears of War 4.
Sony Conference: I could see myself playing the Last Guardian, Horizon, Spider-Man, the Crash remakes, God of War, and most of the VR stuff (other than Resident Evil VII, because I don't do scary).
Based on that metric, I'd probably say I liked Sony's conference a bit more.
@GrailUK, I wouldn't say the first Crash is bad (I actually really enjoyed what I played of it last year), but it's save system is infuriatingly archaic. You only get the chance to save every other level, and that's only IF you manage to access AND complete the bonus level in that every other level (and the bonus levels increase in difficulty as the game goes on as well). I was never able to beat it because of this.
Hopefully the remake adds a more modern saving mechanic.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Sony's lineup doesn't strike me as bad.... yet I'm not really excited for it. It probably doesn't help that I've never played the games in some the franchises featured. Plus they seemed to move quickly from one game to the next judging by the liveblog I was following.
Also, how many of those games are coming out in the near future?
I feel the same. They kept a good pace, showing game after game after game...but nothing really stood out for me other than Horizon and God of War. A lot of stuff looked either too movie trailer-ish or too samey for me to care. A lot of content, but not a lot of variety in my opinion.
I'll give the new GoW a shot. I could never get into the previous GoW games. I found Kratos's character to be so annoying in the previous games, with his whole spartan rage and revenge schtick, and it really rubbed me the wrong way. I suppose that's the point of his character (being an anti-hero and all), but it just annoyed me.
Sony's presentation was nice, at best. Tons of content, but nothing really stood out to me. Crash is returning (yay!), but not in a new game. Spiderman looks nice, but I'm not a big fan of Spidey (now call me if there's an Agent Carter/Agents of SHIELD game in the works). Resident Evil 7 was probably the best announcement for me, even though I haven't seen the trailer yet. I honestly think Microsoft's conference was a tad better since I was really happy with what I saw in the short time I caught their conference. I want a PS4 right now, but Microsoft's conference momentarily made me want an Xbox One more than I wanted a PS4. Besides, no PS4 mini like the Xbox One S... oh well.
Nintendo's conference is today (like it wasn't obvious already)... hoping for the best, but I'm not holding my breath.
I won't be able to watch the stream live, so does anyone know where I could tune in later on in the evening and watch the broadcast from the beginning? I'd like to be able to watch it spoiler-free and not have to come on here to find it.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
I wasn't a fan at how they decided to show off Pokémon Sun and Moon right after the first Zelda intro. The Pokémon game play was quite boring to watch, in my opinion, and all I could really think about was when will we get to see more of Zelda! I found it hard to even pay attention to the Pokémon footage right after that outstanding Zelda trailer! At least we got to see a few more new Pokémon. I'm not a huge of Pokémon though, so I'm not sold on that game yet. Zelda on the other hand... Absolutely!
Overall, I would say Nintendo is doing pretty well so far, and hopefully Color Splash, MP: Star Rush, and all the other games they'll show off tomorrow won't disappoint!
Yeah, tomorrow they've got Paper Mario: Color Splash, Mario Party: Star Rush, Dragon Quest VII, Monster Hunter Generations, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.
Maybe Mario & Sonic Rio Wii U too, if that hasn't yet released.

Mario & Sonic Rio Wii U comes out of the 24th, so there very well could be some footage of it, or at least a mention that it's coming out soon. I wouldn't mind watching some game play of it for sure! It's a day one buy for me already.
