VERY VERY WELL STATED!!! Because its the dang truth. I started with 7 then 8 and absolutely loved them both. Ive played 1,2 and didn't care too much for them. I plan on to pickup 3 and 4 remakes for DS one day but just have so much to play.

Sorry, RJay, but it's not true in every case. My favorite Final Fantasy is the latest one I've been playing (Final Fantasy IV), though I haven't ever had the chance to play most of 'em.

I can't decide between IV and VIII (yes I like 8 don't kill me xD) so I guess i can say:
Favourite Final Fantasy 2D - FF4
Favourite Final Fantasy 3D - FF8

OK I take that back.....IF you started with FF7 its prob you favorite of the series

Honestly if I Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions(PSP) can be considered for this it would have to be my pick for fav FF instead of 7. Im really thinking this will change when I get to FF4 remake on DS eventually.

No, it won't change. War of the Lions cannot be topped. The original 4 was good, but I preferred 5 and 6.

Well, I did, but my vote probably doesn't count because I think all the 3D Final Fantasies are overrated (though I haven't played 7 enough to decide yet). Really, really looking forward to XIII and Versus, though.

Final Fantasy Tactics is my personal favorite... I've put hundreds of hours on that game, and it sits happily atop my list of favorite games.

Well, the BEST FF I can't tell since I haven't play them all, actually I haven't finish one single FF game in my life, I suck at RPGs, but I've enjoyed the ones I've played, before I got stuck ; my favorites are FFVI and FFVII, actually I got pretty far on FFVI.
