Topic: Question about Picross 2 10th puzzles!

Hello lovely people!

I have a question about Picross 2, a Gameboy game. I thought I had done all puzzles, but now there seems to be a 10th puzzle in every stage. But I missed those because I didn't meet the requirements. But are they locked forever now? I did every puzzle of the first Mario stage again (with the help of a guide this time) but the 10 th stage didn't unlock. If those are locked forever that's very nasty. Then I just have to look up those puzzles on the internet and scrible them on a piece of paper so I can finish them that way. Thanks in advance for the answers!

To access the 10th puzzle in every stage, don't fail, restart, give up, use hints or disable the time limit on any previous puzzle.

They will probably unlock when you beat the other 9 puzzles in a given stage under those requirements, but I don't know that personally without trying.
Learning how to play Picross without the hint system can be very rewarding.

Edit: Judging from searching online and Nintendo Life's own review, you get permanently locked out of the 10th puzzle if you fail any given puzzle the first time you clear it.
That's rather bothersome, but something I'll definitely keep in mind if I ever go ahead with playing it.

Thanks for the answer! I mostly used hints on the later puzzles. And in case of Wario mode: I switched the timer off, wich is killing for the 10th puzzles apparently. Yes it seems they are permanently locked. I guess I just scribble them on paper.

Update: I checked my completed puzzles and while I have missed the 10th puzzles on all the Wario stages, I have only missed the 10th puzzles from stage 1 and 3 in Mario mode. That's quite a relief!
