Hello Guys,
Thank you for all your input. I am so lucky I found you guys for guidance and I managed to buy the below console. I tried playing my game boy color cartridges on this console but honestly, there were many pixels and the quality was really not good. I also tried changing the video output to a shorter screen available in console on my 4k TV still no luck.
I need to buy some game HD cartridges for NES / SNES / SEGA. I want to play games like Mario, Contra, Aladdin, Tetris, Kung Fu, Cirkus, Super Mario Bros 3, and others.
Pls, let me know do we have retro games cartridges that come in HD or with better pixels for today's TVs. Any suggestions are welcome. I just want good pixels and not stretched-out pixels for the above games. Pls, post the link to game cartridges so that I can buy them.
@Tasuki
Ok not the original one but I saw some cartridges like 101 games etc on Amazon. Is there any way to reduce the pixels of the game using these cartridges?
Those "100 games in 1" type cartridges, also known as "multicarts", are just copies/roms of the original games. Techinically, the games are the same resolution. The consoles use upscaling to output HD video. unless someone else here knows better than I. This is just how I understand it. I don't know if that answers your question.
And obviously, retro games are ported to modern consoles that have HD video output, playstation, xbox, nintendo. But again, they are just upscaling.
@Suyogya Some older games have HD remakes on newer consoles like DuckTales Remaster for example but original NES cartridges are going to look they way they look cause they weren't meant to be played on current televisions. The only thing I can suggest if it bugs you that much just get yourself an old CRT tv from somewhere like a Thrift Store or garage sale.
