Topic: Does Skies of Arcadia Have a Slow Start?

...I can't quite seem to get a clear answer on this, mostly because no one with good English will describe how it's slow (or not slow, if that's their position). I really would like to play it someday, but the thought of having to ease my way into a long adventure is always daunting, and my recent attempts at Dragon Quest VIII, Final Fantasy XII, and Lost Odyssey have done little to lessen that anxiety...

I don't remember it being really slow. I remember it having a lot of talking though.

I would say it's exactly the opposite. It opens with the takeover of a pirate ship, concluding with a boss fight. I found it pretty exciting. Kind of similar to FF7, where it opens with an action event and does, admittedly, slow down immediately after but pretty much picks right back up
