Topic: 9th Dawn III (Sooooo Underrated)

9th Dawn III blends a lot of different ideas and systems together, but at it's heart, I consider it to be a pixelated RPG, with heavily influences from Ultimate Online.

Crafting is a big part of the game, and it is also presented as a "collectathon," by the developer, on one of the related pages. This is actually true, because every item that can be crafted gives bonus rewards, if you reach a certain threshold of that specific item type being crafted. Pets can also be collected, and some of them are incredibly cool looking / fun to fight alongside.

There aren't traditional archetypes of builds in this game. You build stats of different types (dexterity, strength, intelligence, wisdom, endurance) for some abilities and gear, which are locked behind certain stat gates. I have made traditional characters, but also ones that blend stealth and magic. Backstabbing exists, and it's one way you can reach millions of damage quite easily, but end game enemies are pretty good at detecting you, even with full investment, sadly. Every build is definitely viable, and if you aren't getting what you want out of your build, there is probably a sub system you haven't tapped into, that will synergize, and make it quite op.

That's all I wanted to share I hope one day someone on the site plays, or reviews it. Out of anything I'll talk about on here, it's 100% my favorite game that I've played in many years.
