I know it sounds corney but mine will always be The Legend of Zelda. Especially the remix version herd in ALttP.

The overworld theme from A Link to the Past. It just felt so epic as a kid, and it brings a smile to my face whenever I hear it.

I'm not sure if it's my favorite overworld theme (a good dozen or so other songs popped into my head at the same time), but First Step Towards Wars from Ys Book I & II is definitely high up there for me.

EDIT: Gun to my head, though, I'd probably say Final Fantasy IV's overworld theme.
