Topic: The Nintendo Life Top 10 Games Of All Time

I need them in a particular order or they can't go on.

This is my very nostalgic list of favourite games on Nintendo systems:

1 - Super Mario Sunshine (NGC) Definitely not my first Mario game. However, it's the only one, the only game in general, that I can keep playing over and over again, without getting sick of it. It was a unique twist on the 3D Mario platformers, and it pretty much defined my time with the GameCube.

2 - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (NGC) This was a difficult one, it's almost tied with TP, but I chose WW over TP due to nostalgia.. I also want to add that this game was way ahead of its time back in 2003; not only visually, but also from a technical perspective; the game's physics still hold up today. It's a timeless masterpiece.

3 - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) Another Zelda! Personally TP felt more like a ''Zelda game'' to me than WW did, probably because it resembled Ocarina of Time in a way (the game that pretty much defined the 3D Zelda series). Nevertheless, it's an amazing game, a great adventure every time I play it.

4 - Pokémon Gold Version (GBC) Remember? Once there was a time when Pokémon was still good. Pokémon Blue introduced me into the series, I spent countless hours playing that game, along with Pokémon Yellow. It was Gold however that amazed me even more. The Johto region was amazing; I remember spending many nights discovering the cave systems of Johto. Also the graphics were now powerful enough to actually give the game some character, every town was different, and the Pokémon had a colour scheme that actually resembled their original artwork.

5 - Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Wii U) A very recent game, but the best 2D platformer I have ever played. I appreciated the fact that they brought the Donkey Kong Country series back, and I really liked DKC Returns, but when I heard that David Wise was back for Tropical Freeze, I was sold. An all-round excellent platformer, from amazing music, to stunning visuals, and great level design.

6 - Bomberman Tournament (GBA) Perhaps a little bit obscure? Probably not familiar to a lot of you. I really liked Bomberman, and this game has a great adventure mode. I even remember a friend of mine taking my game home, without my knowing. Only for me to find out that I lost my game, and he somehow acquired a copy of the game. Fortunately, I got it back eventually.

7 - Okami (Wii) A game with great visuals and a long story, really long. I thought I beat the game, and when I head the narrator say; ''Our story, however, is far from over. In fact, it is just beginning...'', I knew I was in for a great game.

8 - Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) Personally I prefer Sunshine over Galaxy, but Galaxy is definitely my second favourite Mario game. The game does a great job of translating the emptiness of space, through music, story, and stunning backgrounds.

9 - Pikmin (GCN) How can I forget about this adorable game. Fighting huge bug- and insect-like creatures with a fearless army of Pikmin? Count me in. I feel as if I'm part of the minority that prefers the original Pikmin over Pikmin 2. I didn't like the cave system Pikmin 2 introduced. It removed the timer, and allowed for infinite playtime, but at the same time it removed a core mechanic of Pikmin; the hurry to do everything as efficient as possible.

10 - Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GCN) Finally there's Mario Kart: Double Dash!! My favourite Mario Kart game, I'm not a huge fan of Mario Kart, but I spent many hours racing against my friends on this game. Spent? We still pull out the ol' GameCube and Double Dash!! once in a while. It ensures many nights of fun.

Honourable mentions: Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64), Metroid: Other M (Wii), Pikmin 3 (Wii U), Pokémon Colosseum (GCN), Super Mario 64 (N64).

I recommend just ignoring it when people say "in no particular order" and just rank them as is. Otherwise you'll be telling that to people a lot. If they're not willing to put in the effort, neither should you.

Or maybe you could even rank them all as #10 and simply only assign 1 point for each. Better than just wasting a list.

Definitely want to put a warning in your first post no matter what you do, though. Preferably in bold.

But that would make the list unbalanced, I'll just ignore them unless they correct it.

Disregard my rushed unordered list. I've tried to rank my games but I hate you for making me omit so much greatness. For games that are part of a series I picked my favourite within that series. Otherwise the list might only say Mario and Zelda.
