Topic: PS3 Games That SHOULD Have Trophy Support?

@Stuffy..... Insomiac stated they were not bringing a patch While they were working on Crack in Time, because they wanted to put all their effort into the new game and not the old one. Still I doulbt it happens, but it would be great.

Yeah...you just know they're going to be putting their effort into their NEXT new game instead of patching old games now... Which sucks, because a long time ago, BEFORE they confirmed that they weren't doing the patch, I had an inside tip that said they WERE planning to patch them. I really hate the fact that they decided against it. And that they decided against multiplayer again. Sigh

Yes, DJ Hero has Trophies. EVERY PS3 game that's released since the beginning of 2009 has to have Trophies. You will never need to ask if an upcoming game has Trophies again.

what about psn games

Same deal, as they're technically PS3 games.

If its released on PS3 or PSN it is required to have trophy support. The only thing that will NOT have support is PSone Classics. My understanding is that if a older game without trophy support gets add-on content then the add-ons should have trophy support such as with The Force Unleashed. New add-ons got us full trophy support and add-on trophies.

@castlehominid99: Yeah...I've quickly learned not to trust whatever weird sources of rumors you have. That's just completely, totally, 100% false.

@slapshot82: Is THAT how it works? Weird. I just figured Force Unleashed got a Trophy patch in anticipation of the Ultimate Sith Edition. Wait...that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If add-ons for no-Trophy games MUST have Trophies, why don't add-ons for Trophy games HAVE to have Trophies? The DLC for Sonic Unleashed and Overlord 2 are Trophy-less.

@Stuff..... Thats what I heard first with The Force Unleashed and then I heard that the Ultimate Sith Edition was coming so not entirely sure on that one. Most all add-ons have trophies that Ive seen.... honestly why wouldnt a dev put them in there. Im guessing that any repackaging of non-trophy games will have to have trophies added then maybe. It works for me. I bought The Force Unleashed and Pure right after the trophy patch hit.

I guess "Greatest Hits" isn't enough of a "repackaging" to count, then. Which I maintain is lame.

I have no idea why developers occasionally release DLC without new Trophies; it seems truely brain-dead to me. It's been PROVEN that Trophies increase sales, so why not put them in the DLC? DUH!

what is actually includedd in ultimate sith edition i am thinking about getting it

It has the base game and all three DLC packs all on the disc. Access to all Trophies is included, of course. Sweet deal for $40!

@castle.... No apparantly they ALL don't but most that I have seen do. Not all, but most.

@Stuff... I know I really wish I would have waited to grab The Force Unleashed cause I paid $30 for it and I still got to buy the DLC

I answered this question in post #32. Like I already said (and Slappy reenforced), most do, but not all. There were only the two games I could think of as examples, but there are probably more I just haven't played. Well, stuff like Buzz and music games don't add Trophies with DLC, and little packs like characters for HVB or costumes for LBP don't get Trophies, but all that makes sense. An entire new area in a game like Overlord 2 or Sonic Unleashed not having Trophies does NOT make sense.
