Topic: PS2 or PSP

LOL, DC is still one of my favorite system!

@dsijared if you haven't made your purchase already I say buy the PS2, it has some really good games that are gem. If you want any suggestions as what games that I think are gem lemme know, I will be glad to give a my list.

ps2 gots actual games that are not remakes

PS2, so many cheap games you can get nowadays. Still prob the best console you can ever own. I would recommend starting out buying the Ratchet and Clank Games and Sly Cooper Series and grab Dragon Quest VIII, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Shadow of Colossus. That will keep you busy for MONTHS, and I doubt you will pay over $20 USD for any of the games with exception only to maybe Dragon Quest.

Those are all excellent games, I have had all of them at one point (sold Sly Cooper, but I shall have the rest). I am going to add to list God of War 1 and 2, the first Jak & Daxter, GTA San Andreas, and it ha a ton of fighting games if you are fighting game fan.

PS2. I just bought Psi-Ops: the Mindgate Conspiracy for $4.99, and it is a great game!

PS2 games are dirt-cheap nowadays.

There isn't a whole lot of great games for the PSP compared to the PS2. I vote for PS2.

@Stuff..... OMG I figured that one would be expensive now, even more reason to stick with PS2 lol.

@motang.... God of War is a must lol, didnt really know about your age and taste and all, as its a forums. We have a large community of younger gamers here, so in random things I dont really recommend M rated games. Jak 3 is the best in its series and Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal is outstanding, and as irken004 just mentioned... Psi Ops is a fantastic game that got very little attention and was a blast to play.

@slapshot82 that's true I don't know the original posters age, and if he is a teen not yet able to play M rated games then I wouldn't recommend God of War series, GTA series at all. I haven't played any Jak game after the first one, loved the first one very much and as for Ratchet I have Up Your Arsenal which is a very fun game indeed. Oh Shadow of Colossus is a good game as well, and Ico is pretty good puzzle adventure game.

Get a Wii Or DS first (However if you already own both system already) go for PC or PSP (Since i only seen used copies of PS2 and PS1 oh and i mean PSP not PSP GO that's shitty and if your into paying montly fee go with Xbox 360 ( i myself might get this), PS3 well do lack of games i believe it's strength comes from First party titles like Little Big Planet, Rachet and Clank, PS2 in my opinion is waste of your time since Last Gen was over 3 years ago even i'm well aware that PS2 still being manufactured most of there titles are no longer in print so most likely you will find Used.

PS2 kicks PSP's ass 10 times over, no questions asked. The PSP may have great multimedia capabilities, but it is VERY uncomfortable to hold and play, there are almost NO good games for it, and you have to recharge it like every 3 hours.

@Slappy: Dragon Quest VIII is in an unusual position in gaming. It sold well enough to reach Greatest Hits, yet wasn't REALLY all that popular in America (as is the case with the series in general). As a result, it's not all that hard to find a used copy floating around. Stock that vastly outweighs demand naturally lowers the going price. I remember a time when my GameStop had at least eight copies all at once, and it isn't even a really good trade store!

The PS2. The only problem is that the PS2 port of Fist of the North Star was only released in Japan (despite the game getting an arcade release here in the States). So, if you want to play it, you'd have to buy a Japanese PS2, as well as the Japanese PS2 game disc. It's pretty expensive, but the game's so much fun, it's worth it.
