Are there any good twin-stick shooters for PS3, whether retail or download?

Who has played Uncharted 3? Was it more of the same of Uncharted 2?

Well pretty much. It's a tad prettier, and if you play in 3D that's pretty cool. Though I mostly played it in 2D.

There are some small changes in the way he moves, like where he ricochets off of a wall with his hands if you run into it, etc. Just nice little touches.

Story was great, and fights were more or less the same with new weapons.
Though in my opinion it wasn't as annoying for the other 2 games.
I found myself frustrated heavily in the other two when there were certain parts I would get stuck fighting a group and dying over and over.
For 3 it was more manageable, (and more fun) getting through the game this time around.

@Malkeor: Thanks. So you chose not to play it more in 3D? Why's that? I was reading an article that said it was one of the best looking 3D games so I was looking forward to that. Though with Arkham City I sometimes just found it easier to play without the 3D effect therefore haven't been using it all the time.

I played maybe...1/10th of the game on 3D. I would actually just put on the glasses every now and then whenever I encountered new effects or went to new areas, just to see how it looked.

To me the 3D is dark, and I found the picture just looked better to me without 3D. Depth and some pop-outs were stunning in some areas but other than that the lower brightness and the slightly duller colors caused me to just enjoy the game in gorgeous 2D.

I have to mention though that I use LGs passive 3D.

You might like it though depending on the settings you use, and the type of TV, and it might be different if you use Active Shutter, though i'm not experienced in viewing it.

@bonsey91 Here's a few other ideas I've got for you guys to try out:
Borderlands: It's one of the best co-op games on the PS3 and even though it has guns, it's still very much a RPG.
Dungeon Siege III: It's similar to Dungeon Hunter Alliance, but it's more refined and again a great co-op experience.
Hunted: The Demon's Forge: It's a standard co-op dungeon crawler, but enjoyable.
Lost Planet 2: It's a shooter, but it has you blasting massive enemies — similar to Monster Hunter in size.
*Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2": It's brutally difficulty and has a big learning curve. Enemy bosses are massive and the co-op is a lot of fun, but only after the single player campaign is finished.

...and I'd really try out this one, Dungeon Defenders. It's a great dungeon crawler/tower defense hybrid that's all but necessary to play with a friend.

thanks for all the suggestions.

Me and my brother played borderlands and it was pretty cool. Though at the moment we are both in hack n slash adventure rpg mode haha. I'll definetly check out the other games you suggested though.

oh and on a side note. I pre-ordered Kingdoms of alamur today! Cannot wait

Is there anyway to transfer PSOne classics data back and forth between the PS3 and PSP? I got pretty far in Metal Gear Solid on the PSP but if I ever wanted to start playing it again on the PS3, it will be a little annoying.

@LadyGLaDOS Yep, there are loads of them that are fantastic, but Super Stardust HD is by far the best of them all.

@turtlelink Yep (aint I just full of Yep's today!), just connect your PSP to your PS3 via the charge controller charge cable, or any other USB to Mini USB cable and select PSone Save Files. Select the you wish to copy and press Triangle and then Copy. Then you'll be all set!

I've put about 8 hours into Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny and I have to say it's one of the funnest games on the PS3. Sure, it has a really, REALLY slow start but after that hour and a half you will be ace. It just explains whats going on and the HUB world you will be exploring every day and how it's fun.

The town reminds me of Animal Crossing. 4 seasons that are technically 4 months filled with events and birthdays just like Animal Crossing. Time isn't the same as every second is a minute and every hour is a minute. (Confusing I know.) Day to Night cycles, sometimes it rains, it snows, leafs turn colors, and so on and so forth. Staying up past 5 a.m. makes you sick as you pass out no matter where you are. (So it's like a fairly convenient curfew, lol.)

It's also like Harvest Moon (like every other RF game lol), in the sense you raise crops and monsters as your own. Very cutesy and likable. Even though I'm still learning that stuff. Last but not least it's an RPG. Sort of like P.S.O. Episodes 1&2, Tides of Destiny has a real time combat system as you level up both overall and your individual weapons. Everything levels up too. EVERYTHING! Jumping, walking, fishing, crafting, forging, sleeping, running away, battling animals, your golem's walking, your golem's fighting, friendship with many people, etc.

Also the variety is immense. Sort of like K.K. Slider from Animal Crossing; Lily sings at the bar, you can work for Lily/Odette at the bar at night, make better friends, battle giant creatures as your Golem, explore/find new islands to explore, scavenge/XP grind, and so much more.

I'm done. If I covered everything else I'd be overdoing it.

Just for you.

Those impressions sound nice, I was actually gonna pick it up on release but all the bleh-ish reviews turned me off.

Well the Kingdoms of amalur demo is on the PSN. Downloaded it (though took forever being 2gb big! )

but anyway, here are my first impressions with the game.

Graphics: 9
It's beautiful! The artstyle they went with is just amazing to look at (don't look to long though, the demo is only about 40 minutes long) but with every good there is a bad. I noticed a certain creature that once dead and it's body parts spread out, a graphic glitch would occur (I'll post a video of it later today) and also the lighting in scenes when you are talking outdoors seems to like to change from bright to dark every few minutes. Which not to big of a complaint seeing as how big this game is. But for a nit-picky artist it can get on my nerves
Video of texture glitch

Gameplay: 10
It's like they melded god of war and demon's souls into the perfect child of gameplay. but honestly if I were to go into every detail I would run out of room! just know it's really good haha.

Sound: 10
The sound in this game is just great.

Storyline: ?
didn't even scratch the surface (maybe just touched a strand of its hair? lol)

so at the moment I already give this game a 9 out of 10. But after exploring the huge overworld for the minutes I had, I couldn't help but imagine how much fun it would be to explore the world with a friend or two in online coop.

(note this may have been poorly written do to lack of sleep... on my way to sleepy land.... zzz)

I actually find the characters to be average. I especially hate the main character. He's a socially awkward d***.
