Still no word on Western release plans for "The Another World," but I'm hopeful. Studio Ghibli is pretty popular here. I'm still not even sure if this is an RPG or what, but the PS3 version looks fantastic, like Studio Ghibli meets DQ8.
@odd Ok, send me a friend invite some time and maybe we can play tonight. Also, do you know how to exit the pod computer? The narrator said something about it, but i didn't hear him clear.
I've been wanting to play Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess.
Dude you seriously will love the game, its excellent.
Can't say that I love it. Kind of boring, actually. The trailer looked so much more exciting. I had high hopes for it because I really liked this other timed vertical platformer called Insomnia, but this game has no variety whatsoever except visually.

Ha ha, I was just about to post this information but it looks like you beat me to it Adam! I'm glad to see other people are excited about this news. This is really quite fantastic for me. I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this game on the DS ever since it was announced but I figured that it would never make it out of Japan. I am so glad that I will finally be able to play it and the game will be even more beautiful on my PS3. I simply cannot wait!
Wait, you say that like they confirmed it's coming to the US. Where'd you get that part? All I read is that it's coming to PS3! If you've got more news, don't keep it all to yourself.
PSN+ Will be a no-go for me. There are only about 10 PSN games I'd wanna get anyways, so in the long run it would be cheaper for me to just get them individually.
I will not be paying for psn+. Can't afford it at the moment, if you guys post enough impressions on it i may change my mind though, really depends on how much features they add
@Adam: Whoops, it looks like I jumped the gun in my assumption that The Another World would automatically be coming to the US as well as Japan. Forgive me but I got a little too excited when I saw this news. Well, it still is great to hear that it is now on the PS3 and I am very hopeful that it will make it's way to our shores someday. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any more news regarding this game.
Regarding PSN+, I am curious about getting it but as of right now I'm just not sold on it. I might reconsider it if I hear great things about it but for now I think I'll just wait and see if it is actually worth it.

EDIT:
Wait, they're just trial demoes? And you can only pick certain ones per month? That's bullcrap! I don't need no stinkin' demoes, I know what games I want! Also they're making sales part of the paid service? No thanks! Screw PSN+!
Can't afford PSN+ at the moment either but I am hoping to hear positive things about it. It's cool that they are offering some free games but I really wish you could keep them once your subscription is up. My Qore subscription is over next month so I'm also glad to hear they are including it with PSN+.
To all owners of MAG, a new add-on came out yesterday! It's the Interdiction Pack. Seems cool, with a whole new mode, 3 new maps, enhanced vehicle gameplay, and the the new Heavy Armour. It's only $9.99 too! I'll pick it up right after i get a new PSN card!

They're not really free games so much as a "try before you buy" service. They only last for a limited amount of time, and once it's up, you're done, unless you choose to buy it. Microsoft's Game Room used a similar model, though I certainly hope the time limit is much longer on PSN+ - you could only play a Game Room game about a half-hour to an hour if I recall correctly. Then you either had to buy it, or just go play something else. I ran through every game they had in less than a day.

10 PSN Games at 9.99 to 19.99 a piece is at least $100. ???? PSN+ is only $50. Granted there is no telling what games will be available! We are getting 3 MONTHS FREE, so anybody passing that up..... MEANS your getting Wipeout HD FREE for 3 MONTHS hint.... hint. How could that be bad. Sony is practically handing the game out for FREE for 3 Months, that pretty damn cool in my book!
$50 to play them for a year. $50 again the next year adds up to that $100 you were pointing to, and this is all assuming he is buying games that he will never want to play again two years from now.
So I just downloaded a bunch of demos from the PS Store, and I'm wondering if there's a way to organize them manually? I'd like the demos grouped alphabetically together, and then I want games like Flower and Braid grouped alphabetically in a separate group. Would that be possible?
Yes when your in the menu hit the square button , you can arrange them by folders this also works with music and videos. I did it on accident one time, hope this helps
Yeah, but can I arrange them alphabetically within each folder? The best thing would of course be if I could arrange them manually.
I have a Backloggery now! Nothin' fancy, but feel free to add me as a friend. [21:15] Axoloth joined the conversation [21:16] Axoloth: I love you, dead chat [21:17] dead chat runs away [21:17] dead chat has left the convers...

At the rate I go with games, it'll be a good 5 years by the time I actually get them. I don't want to keep subscribing just so I can maybe play a game when I want to. Also, I read that the games change from month to month, so I technically only get that month to play whatever games are free that month. Not really worth the $50 a year in my book.
@Adam.... so tell me this, when is the last time you played a PSN game you purchased over 6 months ago for any considerable amount of time. For me, not a dang one. I play Zen Pinball every now and then, but PSN games arent really made for long term appeal.
Anyways, I was joking with the post anyways and I think getting LBP with it is a damn good deal for Europeans. If you dont like the service, then dont buy it. Pretty simple as that.

Well of course I won't buy it if I don't like it, haha.
As for games I've played after six months on PSN... Symphony of the Night and Final Fantasy Tactics are games I could play every year. I have Warhawk on PSN and it's my most played game on PS3 still. I can't say there are a ton of other games, and I could live without those, but I was speaking hypothetically. There are old NES and SNES games that I have played over and over throughout my life. I like games that I'll want to play again.
Definitely not saying it's a bad deal, just that it's not a matter of simple addition to determine the value.
