I used to have to go help my friends play their game systems, back when my dad didn't want to move on to the N64/PS1 era at home. Only way to play those games WAS at friend's houses. I don't particularly miss those times. It was a hassle, and I really didn't get to play many single-player games that way.

Now my ps3 discs wont spin again

If I was made of money, I'd just buy you a new PS3.

I think I'll be getting InFamous, Little Big Planet GOTY, and Rock Band Special Edition becuase of the correct shaped box and the fact that Wal-Mart had it on sale for $50!

I got my first Platnium Trophy today

I finished Modern Warfare 2 100% but i still gotta unlock Muiltiplayer perks,killstreaks etc etc and im 47% through that lol

I love getting trophies....i love the sound indicater aswell lol

Because I don't actually have my PS3 yet... Shipping from Puerto Rico you know? It'll get here eventually, might take a few weeks though.

@Sean lol thats funny, im more the opposite, i barely pay attention to any of that stuff. I guess id rather not get reminded every time i check that i have more playstation trophies than real ones, makes me feel less accomplished . Nah, i just dont check cuz i never feel the need or benefit of the trophies anyway lol

i found out that one of the blue ribbon cables in the blueray drive broke so I just have to replace it. I wonder where a can get a
sumitomo-c AWM 2896 80C VW-1 F 50 pin 7/8 inch wide ribbon cable

@castlehominid99 you love Sony so much... why don't just pay them to fix your broken PS3? no hassle, extra warranty on the repair, and overall more gaming time...

@Sean007s..... Congrats on the first Platinum, my first one was Fallout 3 and it took me a little over a hundred hours to get it. I also actually played the game and not just for trophies. I got really hooked on them for awhile, but now with all the games out, Im just not doin random waste time stuff for trophies. I always play games on the hardest difficulty available when I put the games in, so that is never a prob, I just hate all the play the game 5 times with every character BS. Ive got a couple hours of playtime in prob 3 games that I would net Platinums but Id rather play something else.

even without a receipt, they would've received it and if it was out of warranty, charge you for the repair... I know that Microsoft worldwide, and both Nintendo and Sony locally keep track of sales and serial numbers, just in case the customer somehow lost their receipt...

Well i keep my receipts for consoles in VERY SAFE places. I never ever lose them.
But believe me,your not the only one. There are many with BD Drive issues.
You can fix it or open it up....but in your case,your warrenty has been screwed up....sorry

Thats not to say that it cannot be fixed my friend.
There are many place's especially in the likes of America where 3RD party shops will fix your PS3 for a very cheaper price and not the 150 EURO bullS*it price Sony wants you to pay.

Sony you should be ashamed. We're in recession and your charging people to PAY for their godamn console to be fixed for that price?

Let me tell you something,the 60GB is a HARDWARE failure on part of Sony's Crappy Soldering of the GPU and CPU on the main board. And it only lasts 2 years.....oh wait....doesn't the warranty die out in TWO years.....what a concidence huh?

I love Sony but this is one particular reason to laugh at how desperate they are for some money. Shame on Sony.

I could have a longer rant on MS about my damn 360 but no thanks. we all know what went wrong with them.

@Sean..... I read somewhere that its only like 1% failure rate on PS3, but who is counting it sucks for Castle. But do watch the language as it can get you banned on here. I actually keep my receipts in the box of my consoles so if I ever need them all I got to do is grab the box and there it is. Works for me

Okay, MAYBE I'll try it...but I'm not expecting much. Darned game sounds TOO crazy for me, plus my former manager said it sucked when he tried it at a GameStop manager's conference a couple months ago.
