@Adam: Wits and Wagers is a piece of steaming crap. I HATED the demo. Carcassone is very good, but I didn't much care for Ticket to Ride (though at least I don't HATE it). I'd much rather have Empire Builder, preferably with DLC for other boards.

There's evidence that these companies are open to licencing their board games to digital versions (Empire Builder and Robo Rally both have PC versions available to download), but it seems they want developers to ask for it. So unless you know somebody who'd be great for the job that we could beg, it probably won't happen.

Stuff, can I assume you played the demo with friends? Because if you played with AI or online strangers, well, of course it wouldn't be good. I read someone review it poorly once because he didn't like the AI, but it's a game based just as much on knowing your opponents as knowing trivia.

Of course, now that I think about it, might as well get the board game if it's only good with friends, but the reason I'm interested in the XBLA version is that I don't have a 360, so I can use that to pressure my friend into being the one to buy it, haha.

As for the other games, I was just naming examples. I haven't played but a demo of one of them a long time ago, briefly, without really understanding what I was doing. I think it was Carcassone, but I don't remember.

I'd love to see Cosmic Encounter done on a download service, though I imagine it'd be difficult. The web version has seen a serious decline in players, which is really sad, as I used to play that more than Nintendo. Citadels would also be nice as the only electronic version is a Java app with no online or local multiplayer, only AI.

Also, there's a PC version of Robo Rally?! I've been wanting to try that forever.

Yes, an official one with a board editor, at that! I have no idea if it's any good though, 'cause I don't have a computer.

As for Wits and Wagers: I'm not really sure if I played it with people or not, but my brother agrees the very CONCEPT is terrible, so I guess it's just not for us. We're not really big on trivia stuff in general, though.

Looks like I have all month though to look them up. PS3's got nothin for June and neither do any of the other systems.

It's not really. It really is a disappointing edition of the game, and $6.49 is not "only" at all. That's all the game's worth. It's a cheap and nasty digital version of a great game. The iPhone version is better and cheaper.

@AlexSays: Oh, there are games coming out... Toy Story 3, LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4, Alpha Protocol, Tiger Woods 11 PGA Tour, and Green Day Rock Band are all multi-system including PS3 (only the first of which do I particularly care about). PSP has Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, as well as the lesser-known Hexyz Force (Atlus RPG) and Disgaea Infinite. Then there's Mega Man Zero Collection, Puzzle Quest 2, and 100 Classic Books on DS. Also, Sin & Punishment Star Successor on Wii. Is there really nothing from that entire list that interests you?

@WaltzElf: Well, I don't have an iPhone (or any cell phone, for that matter). And considering the tendency to price games in even $5 increments, this game could've EASILY gone for $10. Probably would on WiiWare, since Nintendo loves to jack up prices.

Bah, does anyone know if there's a way to fix the split screen mode in Resident Evil 5? There's so much unused space...

@stuff.... carcassone was indeed a fun game on Live I put a good few hours into it. I'm passing on catan, but I do want to grab the board game of it.
I for one don't like the increased prices on downloadable games and if its over $10 it needs a platinum imo. Sales are now weekly and I'm sure most everyone else are now waiting on sales to buy the games as well. Heck I paid $15 for wakeboarding HD and a month later its half off.

Well now I hope you now I'm going to be lazy and say that for every month just so you'll list all the games. lol

I'll play Tiger just to see if it's any better and Sin and Punishment just to see how it is. I heard Alpha Protocol was a disappointment so I'm not as eager to give that a whirl. Nothing I'll buy though or even be that quick to rent.

There's no huge games coming out though for a while, likely till past August.

@zezhyrule: I have PoP'08, and it's quite good. Lot of haters out there, but best I can figure is that they're just the ones who don't appreciate a lack of ever being sent back to checkpoints and forced to replay areas when you screw up.

I will have enough money for a PS3 by the beginning of July!
2 games i want to get for it are M.A.G. and Blur. How are they?

Had two friend requests recently out of the blue, so I guess I should explain my PSN situation.

I pretty much don't play PS3 at the moment and don't see that changing unless From's next game is a Metroid rip-off. I'll occasionally get a single-player game, usually a cheap PS2 game, but there aren't any online games I'm still interested in, so there's no reason to add me.

The reason I deleted my list in the first place is that I was preparing to sell it. That plan got delayed, but I think I'll likely go through with it this summer.

If this changes any time soon and I get some online game that's popular here, I'll let you guys know. Didn't want anyone to think I was snubbing them.

@Adam... my feelings are still destroyed Seriously its not big deal. I actually got a random friend request as well, Im sure its someone here though, havent been able to get a change to ask yet as my wife is going out of town tomorrow and didnt get any game time after checking downloads.

Anyone snatch the Tecmo Bowl remake? I loved the original and really interested in it.

The Tecmo games were the only football games I ever cared about. I also kind of liked the John Elway NES game in a Wow, this is so terrible it's kind of brilliant, sort of way. Haven't tried the remake either, but between this and the new NBA Jam, I have to wonder if there is a concerted industry effort to get me interested in sports games again.

MAG is a good game, near zero lag compared to MW2 or BC2. Less player support than those two though. Wait times are: the 32 vs 32 matches take about 30 seconds to fill. 64 vs 64 can take upwards of 5 minutes due to one army have a miserable unbalanced map. 128 vs 128 takes a couple minutes to fill, but it's mayhem and it's worth it. Although MAG may die out soon, depending on DLC, I'd recheck the state of the game before you buy it. Personally, It's the best playing current FPS on PS3, just not the best looking. MW2 is a lag fest, and BC2 has potential game breaking exploits depending on your threshhold for such things.

If you absolutely know you're getting a PS3 find 3d Dot Game Heroes, it's awsome if you dig old school zelda style adventures, or any other 8 bit/16 bit RPG mainstays. It seems like a fairly limited release.

I was already thinking about getting 3D Dot Game Heroes.
How is Blur though. Looks fun.

@turtle.... Blur is getting fantastic reviews as is Split Second. Ill be getting both prob around the end of the year lol.

@Adam... me and a buddy of mine used to play the crap out of Tecmo Bowl so Ill prob get it this weekend for sure. The updates and full online play make it well worth $10 bucks Im sure.

@Adam: I friended you in case you needed further help with your 3D Dot Game Heroes camera problem, but I guess you didn't. If you're really considering getting Catan, though, I'd love to play it with you.
