As someone who is two dungeons away from beating it, I should add that it really isn't as similar as the trailer makes it to be. People who haven't played it like to call it rip-off, but really, there are just as many differences between this and Zelda as there are between Neutopia and Zelda. Quite a lot more actually.
What some people forget is that this is how genres are formed. Dungeon crawlers are all so thoroughly based on Rogue that the genre is just as often referred to as "roguelikes." Many other genres have equally traditional (or derivative, if we're feeling negative) games -- FPS, shmups, platformers, etc. How I'd love to see a "Zeldalike" genre born, but people do get hung up on the similarities for reason.
Some reviews have called it the Zelda 2 that should have been. That's in some ways appropriate, but in most ways not. So far the biggest connection I've noticed is the weapons. There are very few weapons (other than the bazillion swords to collect, such as Excalibur or... a fish?), and all so far are ripped straight from Zelda except the hook shot (and dash boots, if you lump in items), which are from Link to the Past. I wish they had added a couple new weapons just to set it apart, like Neutopia's elemental wand things.
That said, I still like to call it "the new Zelda" just to make non-PS3-owning gamers jealous.
By the way, while we're discussing Zeldalikes, I tried that Golden Axe game, Stuffy, to see if it'd be worth getting that collection you always suggested I get, but I didn't like it at all. The sword swing doesn't feel satisfying. It's a small nag, but I'm sure there'll be lots of sword swinging in the game. I like the look of it though. Makes me wish Zelda had a sequel with graphics of this quality or Neutopia's -- though I suppose BS Zelda covers that.
Anyone play the game:Rainbow Six on PS1? I have it now and I must say,its excellent, even today!
Bad news is.....I forgot to make a 2nd Internal memory card for my PS3 so now it won't save...lol Downloading MGS1.

Why is it PS3 games don't always fit the TV screen area right? Are widescreen TVs not all the same dimension? We've never had a problem with this in generations before.
Normally I wouldn't care, but unlike every PS3 game I've played before it, 3D Dot does not have screen size adjusting options, and it's starting to annoy the heck out of me. Twice now I've come across a part of a dungeon that -- from what was visible -- was entirely impossible. The first time I wasted probably fifteen minutes. Not that big a deal. This time though I went through every room in the dungeon multiple times, drew a map of my own and notated it, and still could not figure it out, so I had to go through the dungeon from the beginning with a guide only to find there was an otherwise invisible door I'd missed.
Awesome.
Is there any other way to fix this? I see no options on my TV itself. Is there something I'm missing in the game, or is there an option on the PS3 menu hidden somewhere? What causes this problem?

Quit you're moaning. I'm still on a SDTV for God sakes....how do you think I feel? lol

@Adam.... I dont know, did you try changing your camera settings to see if that would help? I havent ran into this problem at all. The only game ive ever had the screen cut on was Blazblue and it was easily fixed in the Options Menu.
I do agree with everything Adam posted about 3D Dot Game Heroes. Its a great game, that holds up on its on game and deserves the right to be called "The Next Zelda" or however you want to say it. Ive enjoyed the heck out of it.

@Adam: The sword in Golden Axe Warrior isn't the best, but it doesn't take long to get the Axe, which is much better anyway.
As for the widescreen issue with the game...I dunno. My brother's been playing it on an SDTV and hasn't said anything about problems of THAT nature. As I've said previously, I have to wait for him to finish with it before I can play it (even though he's at work right now...stubborn), so I can't speak from experience. I find it unlikely that your TV has literally NO screen ratio options, though. It's possible that it's on Overscan or Fill and you didn't even know. Search through the TV's menus a bit more and you should surely find SOMETHING. If you need more help, try to catch me on PSN and we'll see what we can do.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
Hahaha, I'm so sorry, Sean. You have my most sincere condolences.
And no, it's not on fill, Stuff. I went through every option on my TV menu. And yea, Slap, I tried all the camera angles. That has nothing to do with it.
Oh well, I only have one dungeon left now, so the problem will be over soon. And despite how fun it's been, for quite a few reasons, some of which are hard to quantify, it doesn't seem like a game I'd want to play again. Mostly I don't really like the overworld and towns. The dungeons are just about perfect though.
On Super Street Fighter 4,playing PS3 in game music while loading an online match makes you lose connection.
It also makes the game lag and freeze sometimes. I have tried this many many times just to see if it was my PS3 but its not.
Anyone know where to contact CapCom Europe? I'd like a patch for this and shouldn't be too hard to fix.
And its not my PS3 since my Ps3 is well looked after and its my baby and I nurse it all the time. lol

You're damn right. lol But its always a joy to have fullscreen games.
Even if the graphics aren't as crisp or good, fullscreen makes up for it so much on an SDTV.

You can set it to full screen on any TV, of course...

Yes it does, that is if fact Exactly what I was talking about. It means its cheaper for Sony to make the console, wich in turn down the road will bring a price drop for consumers. Not that Im speculating, a Sony rep said they were a few weeks back because of this cheaper chip set. I think a lower price will yet again be a great thing for the system. The last drop was a Massive Lift to the PS3 and brought in tons of gamers. Im guessing this will be a BIG deal at E3.
Just my guess...... $250 for the PS3 and Im betting 3DS will sit at $200 as Nintendo seems to keep elevating prices and these new handhelds. Im really thinking this is Sonys idea, to put there HD Home Console only $50 more than Nintendos new handheld. Its just my speculation, but if they did It would be a massive bang at E3.
You could end up being right, but cheaper to produce does not mean they're going to sell it cheaper. If that were always the case, the Wii would have cost much less from the start. Sony might want to actually make money on the system for once. And random company representatives sometimes say things that are misleading or just wrong. Again, might end up being right, but this is far from official or inevitable confirmation in any way.
