Have you ever wondered what the fruit on #1 is? After all, it's there from the very first game of the series from the early 90s... I googled it today, it's a tomato. Now you know.
Over 60 people are already taking part in this veggie round, you can too!
Even more so with these second and last hints:
1) Six games in this round-up first appeared as arcade machines. 2) In game 13 you fight against gods of Greek mythology. 3) Number 17 is a game for the Atari 2600. 4) And the last one - the 16th entry is a fantasy RPG
@Mr_Horizon OH MY GOD I COMPLETELY FORGOT. On it right now!
EDIT: Just submitted it there now! I think I did pretty well honestly (there was one where I genuinely got a eureka moment so that was fun), can't wait for the results at the end of the month!
I haven’t participated in any of these quizzes yet this year, but I recognized multiple of those games, so I decided I’d do it, to get some points for NL. I feel like I’m wrong on #1 though, which bugs me…
I can’t remember - if you get the series right, but not the specific game, do you still get half a point?
@CactusMan You’re not supposed to give answers… but I don’t think that’s from Mario Party? There’s a certain character in the background. Also, look at those graphics!
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
@CactusMan BabyYoda is right, please don't give answers while the round is still active. If lifer just posts the full set here each month there would be very little challenge.
@BabyYoda71 I have become very soft when it comes to that, you get the full point even if you name a different game from the series.
@lifer: The #19 still has a higher answer rate (37%) than the #17 (30%)! Number 18 could indeed use a hint, yes... but unfortunately we are out of clue posts now.
Did you know that strawberries are not berries, but nuts? But bananas are berries? So weird! Let's make things clearer by solving the veggie puzzle... we start with the bonus question. If you had imagined the quiz players to be a rather homogeneous group, you were right: if you leave out the almost 15% "don't like to answer" fraction, the field of players (this time over 130 people strong) of this quiz series is almost 95% male and about 90% white. Here's a pie chart: https://i1.lensdump.com/i/tTO2jr.png
Does it matter? No. Was it interesting to see once? I think it was.
But now something really important, namely the answers to lasts months puzzle... first the names of the games as text, then the pictures, then the award ceremony.

Scroll up if you want to see the other players in the top 20
Considering I could have gotten 7 (I knew the first one was Kirby and the Forgotten Land, just said Smash for some reason), this is BY FAR the best I’ve ever done…
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
It is in your Top 3 Results. You once had 16 points before, in the Multiplayer Theme... and you even had 16.4 points(!) in the self-solving quiz. That was the one that zoomed out more every few days. I guess it doesn't count, as you could achieve more than 25 points in that one.
@Mr_Horizon Oh ok, 16 is my score to beat then! It's not likely to happen until we get another Nintendo-heavy round though. And thanks for the link, that's interesting to see.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
It's an absurdity that we never did this with the male video game characters! So we're making up for it now, and "topless" the 25 gentlemen have to be as well. So how about it - do you recognise all games just by the sixpacks???
This round is considerably less retro than usual, I hope you can still manage.
