Halfway through the month I want to offer you some help. So far thirty people are playing, of which three are from this forum. Will a few more people join in the remaining two weeks? I wish you a nice weekend, hopefully with enough time to take part!
So, here are the hints #1:
1) Game 12 is a famous JRPG. 2) The 16 is the only fighting game in this round. 3) In picture 3 you are just deciding on the faction of a well-known RTS game. 4) If you like 2D platformers, you should check out number 1, 6 and 8.
Aaaand now it's gone, the last weekend of March. One last time there's help from me - but then you're on your own for the last couple days.
@CactusMan I'm afraid my quizzes are rarely easy, otherwise Lifer would be so terribly bored. But don't worry, you are far from being last in the high score table!
1) In game 7 you have to sneak and steal stuff. 2) Title 18 has been released on the Neo Geo. 3) Number 4 is a sci fi motorbike racing game. How many of these are there actually? 4) Game 11 is not from Sega!
Alright, I finally entered. Many of the games I made up like Robo Battle or Spaceship Shooter… And some games I said stuff like F-Zero: Something, or Star Wars: Something… I think I got the mystery theme right though, I chose Sci-Fi as it. My score probably won’t be very good, but thank you to @Mr_Horizon for making such a fun quiz.

Not 100% sure what you mean, but Mr_Horizon posts the results a couple of days into the month and then later the new month's quiz. You need to consider that it's also some private fun and a lot of work goes into making it run.
Oh what a riddle! Oh what a secret! A mystery of the very special kind! What was the topic of the last round? Less than half of you had guessed it correctly...
Let's go back to the past. About two years ago I asked you in the bonus question about your "best gaming year", eighty people had voted then and delivered a very clear result:
Accordingly, I've been wanting to do a round on this topic for a while. And since we set a new record with 127 players, I consider the experiment a success. Thanks to all who took part!
Now you'll get the results... first the names of the games as text, then the pictures, then the award ceremony.

Bloody hell @lifer, leave some for the rest of us! XD
But yeah, a bit yikes from me this time round but happy with the ones I managed to get (if it wasn't for F-Zero X coming to NSO a few days prior, I would never have guessed it).

Ohhh. That’s why. I barely know any games from 1998, That’s why I did so bad… I hope that’s why at least. Also, a while ago you did a new releases of 2017/18/19 (One of those) I was wondering if you could do that as them but with 2021/22 games maybe? Also, if you did Nintendo games that would be fun (But easy for us Nintendo-Lifers)

Ah, I should have thought of the year of release being the connection! There were a lot of games in there that involve either undead creatures or futuristic technology, so I thought the theme was something to do with a combination of those.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
This month I've had my hands full in my personal life and didn't finish my planned quiz.... Annoying, but luckily I always have another one up my sleeve! Accordingly, this time it's about healthy eating, er I mean fruits & vegetables.
Whether it's simple fruit bonuses in arcade games, or talking vegetables with arms and legs from modern titles - it's once again up to you to figure out all the games.
No bonus points this round, but after being asked if the "gender & race" mix of the last intro gif was representative.... (no it wasn't, it was randomly selected!) ...I'll just ask you guys now to check. If you don't want to you don't have to, it's completely optional.
Dear kids, eat more vegetables! It's healthy and all. I don't want to preach any further, instead I wish you Happy Easter with enough time to participate in the April round. Over forty people are already playing.
To make participation palatable (ha!), I'll now write down a few hints:
1) In this round, Nintendo has supremacy - ten games are only available on their platforms. 2) At picture 10 you can see a small part of the main character. 3) For the strawberries of number 5 you need especially good platforming skills. 4) Only 8 games in this round use 3D graphics.
