Firstly, I don't know what your talking about. Secondly, I wouldn't import a system if I didn't know the language.

I think what you're trying to say is you want to buy a Japanese PSVita, and set the language to English.
Can we confirm that Japanese PSVitas will have the option to change the language? Are Sony imposing region lock (after years of import friendliness), meaning you'd have to import every PSPvita game you purchase (not to mention the psn games that surely require a Japanese bank account), which may or may not actually have English language as an option?
I don't know the specifics, but then if I was going to buy one, I'd wait for a Western release.
If I were you, I'd just wait for the Western release. Keep learning Japanese though - it would surely come in handy if you ever want to import games from Japan.

This. Also, keep learning the English language as well.

Play-Asia has just confirmed the Japanese Vita price on their site as $499 for the Wi-Fi model and $549 for the 3G/Wi-Fi model. A little high, but I guess if you want it badly enough, it's no big deal.

If you get a Japanese one, you will have to have a Japanese credit card to ever use their shop, or import a lot of PSN gift cards. And since one of the big attractions is being able to download any Vita game, this seems a significant deterrent.
At least, that's my understanding from how the store works on PS3.
I'll only be using the Japanese store for two months anyway, so no big deal. Then I'll set up a US account on the system. Besides, NCSX sells the PSN cards and they'll even send you a scan of the number so you don't even have to wait for the card to come in the mail. I use them all the time since I have both a Japanese and US account on my PS3 and PSP.
Oh, I thought it was region-locked. Nevermind! In that case, if you can set the system language to English, I'm not sure I see the difference at all, technically. Obviously price and release date vary.
And man, I wish I had heard of NCSX before. That's quite useful.
