I went with the Vita for several reasons: 1. I probably put more time into portables than consoles. As Vita is essentially portable PS3, I think I'd use it more. Plus, there's portable versions of Uncharted, Resistance, LBP, and probably more. And I really can't wait for the Final Fantasy X remake (as I've always wanted to play it but it've never owned a PS system), and I think I'd play it more on the go. 2. I don't know how long PS3 support will continue. I expect the new console will come out in 2013 or 2014, and I don't want to buy a console and get it rep,aced so soon. 3. I don't want a console taking up more room. I am saving that room for Wii U next year. (depending on games in launch window!)

Even if a new Playstation console is announced, the PS3 still has plenty of great games. The new console or Wii U will be more expensive and won't have many games worth playing yet. Who says you can't buy them later?
If PS4 will be backwards compatible with PS3 (it probably will be), I'll still have a new console but I will be able to play the PS3's library.

You made a good choice. I'm not a fan of either of those companies, but I prefer Apple over Playstation. Unless we're talking about a Mac purchase. >_> Anyways, I'm going off-topic. But yeah, I'd like Playstation more if Jack Tretton wasn't so despicable. But, then again, Steve Jobs wasn't an ideal human either. That bio of him has plenty of complaints from those who knew him. Anyways, this is way off-topic now, but it'd feel like a waste deleting it all.
I found a holiday PS3 bundle at GameStop that had LittleBigPlanet 2 and Rachet and Clank: All 4 One. I plan on getting that, as it was only $200. Anyways, I plan on getting inFAMOUS with it. I was thinking about Uncharted 2, but I watched a video and it pretty much looked like Gears of War but not as good gunplay with some platforming. Should I still get it?

Yes. There's actually more to the gameplay than you'd think, with interesting puzzles, more verticallity and what not to the levels, even on normal you're pretty vulnerable. Some stages have traps and stuff you can utilize. It's also more about the story, which, while cliche, is presented very well, like a blockbuster movie.
