Okay, I am stupid. I realized today that you should NEVER spend money on Expert Packs. ALWAYS play for Arena since you ALWAYS get an Expert Pack and at MINIMUM 25 gold, while at the same time if you're good, you can get 400+ gold.
Oh, it was also my first time playing Arena. I got 3 wins and as prize I got 1 Expert Pack and 50 gold. So I got exactly all the gold back.

The only upside to buying packs directly is if you want them all at once. If you can afford to wait, and enjoy Arena, then definitely do that.
Anyone have any tips for building a good deck? This has always been a problem for me when it comes to card games. Like how many of what kind of cards should I have in my deck what kind of cards etc. Any tips would be very helpful.

Tried Arena again, and got the worst draft ever... I chose Hunter but barely got any beast cards, nor any secrets.
@Tasuki Keep a good balance in manga cost, and always have something that draws cards. What's most important is card draw and board control. Acolyte of Pain and Cult Master are good Neutral cards for this.
@Tasuki - Build a deck with a smooth mana curve (you can see it by hovering over the name of the deck) that peaks at around 3-4 mana. Don't have more than 4 creatures with 1 mana cost unless you're playing Warlock, and try to add in cards that synergise well together. Playing with your deck you can start to tell what's wrong with it - Do you run out of cards too much while playing? (add more card draw or more high mana cards etc).
If you have a specific deck you need tweaking as an example post it and I can give you some tips.

Hunter and Warlock are the worst classes to pick in the Arena - they rely too much on combos and specific cards to work. If you want to have a high-win Arena run - those are the two you never pick (since you always have three to choose from). From what I've experienced from Arena:
I see. We'll see how my experience turns out.
My first play was actually Paladin, but as I said I didn't get some crucial cards, like Consecrate. At least I got to 3 wins.

Waiting for ShadowforSSB4 to take me up to the heavens.

I play the mage deck mostly, the one deck I made from a guide online consists of a few minions for blocking purposes and spells for damage. I tend to like that deck but I am not sure how to improve it.

I have a Spell Damage gimmick deck which works pretty well... sometimes!
I don't have Malygos though so...
Well, I played Arena twice in a row and got 3 and 0 wins respectively. Sigh...
One day later.
I just won FIVE times in a row with Hunter! Hunter is not dead!
Well, I had a Web Spinner past round 10 and was 7 damage away from lethal. I run the Web Spinner into an enemy minion and guess what I get. KING KRUSH
I actually got King Krush, and that won me the game. x_x 30 minutes later...
I got King Krush AGAIN from a Web Spinner! I lost though... Next match...
I GOT HIM AGAIN! And lost again...
Haven't played this in weeks. I wish the release schedule were more rapid or the card acquisition process easier. Playing the same couple heroes and the same cards every game has worn me out a bit. I'd pay money for it if I could get specific cards that way or packs with guaranteed higher rarity cards. Going to have to start playing again though. Playing as Malfurion in Heroes of the Storm got me hyped. Can't wait for Thrall to be in that game.
User reviews seem to indicate it's a little slow (likely optimization issues that'll be worked out in updates), but it does seem to work on a wide variety of tablets. (even one said it worked on their sub - $100 tablet!)

Basically a new adventure pack Blackrock Mountain is coming out which is going to be like the Naxxaramas one as well as the Iphone and Droid phone versions.

I would be very excited about the phone version if they would add asynchronous play already. For a game where you cannot make decisions out of turn, it is weird not to be an option. They certainly have the playerbase to support a separate queue, too. I hope this is something they just haven't announced yet or I missed.
So Hearthstone is now available on iPhone as well as Droid phones now. I tried a few rounds on my phone which is a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it ran really well. I haven't played for a few months but that's due to having limited access to a computer. Now that I have it on my phone I will probably play it more often.

If you built a deck around it, it wasn't fun, and it didn't turn out too well.
But if you built a traditional deck and just played along with the rule, it was really fun.

Malygos Shaman crushed it. No board, no problem— elemental destruction! ...cheeky lava shock.
