Well, I really just mentioned those because they're the easiest to imagine in that arena. And the type-effectiveness could make it less generic, as could the move-range. You'd have lots of projectiles in addition to physical attacks, and you could possibly even weave in differing stats for each character for defense and special defense and the like. You could use other Pokemon, too, like Venusaur and some of the other starters, or do some flyers or levitaters (you could swap Haunter for Gengar, and toss in Togekiss), or even use Dugtrio, and have him popping in and out of the ground and only low attacks or falling attacks work on him. There are a lot of options to make it a pretty deep, strategic fighter.

If by 'strategic fighter' you mean 'balancing nightmare' then I'd have to agree :3 Seriously if you think people spamming projectile attacks in other fighters is annoying, wait until a few million 8-year-olds buy it

@Sushi: Balancing nightmares are usually among my favorite games ever. The Smash Bros games must be hell to try and balance... but when you actually take the time to carefully balance things... they produce Smash-like beautiful results.

What about this solution: in Pokemon only certain moves can make you flinch. What if projectiles hurt, but don't make you flinch? You could walk right through a flamethrower and cut it off by Mega Punching them in the gut. The projectile would still be worth having for when you beat some distance between the two of you, but spamming wouldn't keep the other one locked into the corner until they "fainted?"

B/W was blatantly originally made for 3DS, I'll be amazed if Grey isn't on 3DS either.

How?

the graphics look like they were made for 3D. Just the way everything looks, from the battle screens to the huge bridge and cities etc. It's was advertised as a new beginning for Pokemon, which is just bizarre for the old system when the new one was released at the same time. Just to confirm this, Paper Mario 3D's battles are doing something very similar.

I forgot to mention one of my dreams in first post. A Pokémon game with SSB kinda action! I have always liked how SSB made battling with Pokémon in real time and it seems to work very well. I think they could take some kind of advice from them and make a real-time battle Pokémon game.

Pokémon Rumble is about the closest you're likely to get to that.

Yeah. Rumble is a good game (can't wait for Rumble Blast ) but I'd like more if they would make more serious real-time battle game with 4 moves/Pokémon and leveling system, etc.

Pokémon Grey needs to be on 3DS to take advantage of the Tag Mode that BW had to truly take advantage of the feature. There's so much more possibilites on 3DS than DS in terms of connectivity.

Of course, I wouldn't mind having Raging Ruby and Stormy Sapphire on 3DS while Grey sticks to DS :3

I wonder if they can input enhanced features for 3DS users (Streetpass for example) and still keep it compatible with the DS family systems.

I don't understand why they don't make a new Pokemon Pinball game. It would work great on the 3DS what with the gyroscopic motion feature and it's been two generations since Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire (my favorite pinball game of all time).
The Pokemon Pinball games are just so addicting, and catching them all along with really high score-based system makes me still play them to this day even though I've had them for over 7 years.

They forgot the Space Jump Boots.
