Topic: Best FPS!

My God.This thread went somewhat Off-Topic no?
Only on this site would a best FPS of all time thread turn into a discussion of The Conduit .
I really must buy the Orange Box though, sounds like the general concenus is that Half-life is the best.Better than Goldeneye? Nah surely not
@Slapshot You didn't like the Cube. Ahh man, one of my favorite systems.And the best controller ever _{IMO blah blah...}. I know what your saying about lack of games but there was a lot of hidden gems on there too.I'd list em' but its neither the time nor the place

The Virtual Boy says 'hi'. Seriously, that thing had, like, 10 games, only displayed in Monochrome red, and gave people eyestrain. Can you honestly say the Gamecube is worse than that?!

Anywho, Back on Topic: Besides Bioshock being the greatest FPS ever made, some other runner-ups worth mentioning are:

Crysis (Now THAT is how you make a guy feel like a badass)
Halo: Combat Evolved (Call it generic all you want, I still say it's fun to play from start to finish, even today)
Open Arena (AKA Quake III: Sexy Edition, especially the way I play it)

And I guess that's it for me. Those are the only FPSes that could ever hold my attention long enough to really get into them. I guess I could always say Half-Life, or Doom, or Duke Nukem, or Perfect Dark, but none of them really stuck. I always found myself getting stuck on some annoying mission or just getting bored with 'em. Some I just never had the urge to go back to. The fact that these 4 games are actually capable of holding my attention makes them the best in my eyes.

@Oregano.... lol oh well, I did post that at 4:36 AM this morning after driving 30 min to work, so that may have something to do with the post. But seriously man, you know what I was getting at. It had betters spec, and that is a new one on me for sure. It still didnt go so well for Nintendo. I really did think it was underpowered to the XBOX and PS2, I have never heard that before, ever!

@Luigi.... oh I loved the Cube. The only Nintendo system to have sequels to my favorite 2 Nintendo games being WaveRace and 1080. Not to mention the exclusive Metal Gear Twin Snakes update from the PSone, all the DK Bongo Games, etc, etc, etc. Im not saying I didnt like the system. It just didnt go so well to the 2 new systems back then.

@Mickey... Im not a big PC fan so ive missed Crysis, but Ive got Crysis 2 deadlocked on my radar for PS3 and cant wait to finally get my hands on this franchise.

Single Player: Deus Ex(also The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex), Half-Life, Marathon(free!)

Multiplayer: Time Splitters: Future Perfect, Sauerbraten(free!), Left 4 Dead
