I'll probably get it eventually. I may wait some years while more colors/bundles are released and until its features get perfected, just like i did with the original psp.
If games that I'm extremely interested in pop up as exclusives on it, sure, yeah, I'll buy it. For the gadgets, no; I have an iPod to wow me in that department.
lolno. Even as a hardcore Nintendo nerd and someone who has never successfully seen 3D ANYTHING EVER before, the 3D on 3DS and I assume 3D in general is "that's kinda cool I guess".
That being said, yeah, same things as PS3. And with less advertised changes for these new games in a series than Nintendo could ever dream to accomplish.
The overpriced proprietary memory cards that will only be sold separately kills it for me. Not buying a Vita till the memory card prices come down and/or one is bundled with the system.
This is worse than Microsoft segmenting the Xbox 360 market by offering it with no hard drive. A hard drive is required for many Xbox 360 games and features, so who would buy one without it?
Nope, none of the games appeal to me. And if it winds up having a simular selection to the PS3 than it will be a definite no. I'm just too into the retro stuff and Nintendo(Along with Capcom and Konami ect). The REAL appeal to the 3DS for me is the 3D effect for 3DS titles and 3D Classics, plus the Gameboy VC, otherwise it's not 'that' exciting at all. I would never of wasted my time with PilotWings Resort if it weren't for the 3D effect which totaly amped up the experience and made it far more interesting, beautiful and compelling to play.
3D makes a massive difference in the gameplay department in my eyes. Same deal with Monkey Ball 3D, a brain dead easy game with bare bones crappy MB level design, ho hum gyro controls and analog stick controls that are boring to use compared to the Wii remote. But it's only saving grace is the 3D effect which can be pretty awe-worthy at times and creates this little mini virtual world where you can get a great sense of depth and it brings it all to life. I had a semi fun time during the first 3 worlds because of the sparkly wonderful depthified beautiful 3D effect, but after that i had to force myself to finish the rest of it. I felt like i was wasting my time onwards hoping to actually get a good monkey ball challenge. Banana Blitz destroys this game on all levels, and if THAT were in 3D on the big screen i would be bouncing banana's all over the place. ahem, back on topic....lol
If the PS3 DID have the 3D effect plus traditional 2D sequals for Mega Man, Contra. Castlevania and of course Resident Evil than I might be down. But it's just another hand held with a typical graphical upgrade with a touch screen strapped to it's techno-butt, with more PS3-like modern games that don't interest me in the slightest.
Who knows, i mean it's all about the games. But for now, nothing has captured my interest at this point. I feel like my modern gaming days are whaning....It's the retro stuff that truly makes me happy and gets my mega juices flowin. But I absolutely adore the Wii and the 3D effect for 3DS games gives me a tiny taste of how amazing 3D will be on the big screen.....can't wait!

First Edition Bundle comes with a Memory card, a game, and a case for an extra $50. Oh, and it comes out a week earlier than the rest.
