Topic: Best online games for wii

There's about 50 online games for the Wii.

Out of those 50, I counted only 15 that I know for a fact work.

Even if you find 10 more, which then I'd probably get into listing names for curiosity, that's only half.

You cannot tell more than half the games on the 360and PS3 don't work well online. It's a rarity when PS3 and 360 games are suppose to have multiplayer and it doesn't work well.

So much that usually people complain till it gets patched.

And of course it should be able to run a game online reliably. ANY system should, including the Gamecube. That doesn't support the Wii being anything close to an online console. The other systems are able to do it with much more advanced games.

Most of what you've mentioned so far are great, but many wii games have great online potential but for some reason it is not includded, like NSMB wii and wii sports resort.

By the way I think SSBB is ok, the stranger matches are too limited, but a friend match is very fun (at least with the friend I played)

sup, I will give you advice if you ask.

I would love Resort to have online play.

Brawl is great online with friends and when it isn't laggy. Call of Duty: World at War works smooth online and is quite addictive. Mario Kart Wii is probably one of the games with the best online functionality on the system.

Beep.
That is all.

Mario kart wii is really good but hackers ruin the fun.
Call of duty reflex is great.
Monster hunter tri is great too.

Yah, just MWR for me. That's a lot considering that I only own that and Okami. But I've played other games online and they aren't very fun. Brawl doesn't work. Mario Kart is repetitive, and Ive never played MH~. MWR is smooth and entertaining with the online. Unlockable perks by gaining levels is fun and just the fact that you can join a game without waiting five minutes just to play (couch CONDUIT cough). My friends and I have had good times with four Wiis in the same room with MWR. "He-He-He-Headquarters Located" lol.

honestly even the ds is better for online

Not from my experience, what with Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime Hunters, and Custom Robo Arena filled with hackers online...

Yeah, out of all the online games I've played on the Wii, Monster Hunter stands above all, followed by Mario Kart, then Excitebots.

The only game I still play online to this day since I bought it at it's launch is Mario Kart Wii. If Wii is your only platform or you prefer it's control method over the HD consoles Modern Warfare Reflex is also really good. If you like action JRPGS or have fond memories of Phantasy Star Online you can't go wrong with Monster Hunter Tri.

Unfortunately, I feel that too many online Wii games are unplayable either because of lag or slow matchmaking process.

Yeah there are a lot of hackers on DS that ruin the online titles longevity, but the DS definitely has way more games to choose from with some form of online connectivity or another, even if competition is indirect. So in that sense the DS does have better online.
