@Magician Yeah, I'm not expecting an experience that's nearly as deep as Gnosia, but that's fine. I'm a sucker for mystery/thriller VNs, and I couldn't ignore a physical copy of at that price.

Yes, exactly @Slowdive it's a fantastic RPG indeed. It has a few niggles here and there so I wouldn't say THE best Japanese role-playing game of all, but it's absolutely in the top five for me.
@TheJGG@Slowdive Not a big DQ fan (found VIII to be merely tolerable, I to be boring, and didn't even bother finishing II), but DQXI S was actually a pretty great experience. The pacing was pretty consistently excellent throughout, the orchestral music was mostly pretty good, and the whole thing felt super charming.
I've let it sit dormant since finishing it in 2019, though. I need to go back soon and complete the post-game content.

Just bought and now installing Monster Hunter Rise from the eshop. Didnt want to do it but have no choice since Ive been out of town the past two days and couldnt find the game at Walmart stores or even at a mini mall Target store.
An hour ago just now I had to go get a gift card from the Dollar General store and had to get at least 66 bucks put in the gift card.
So now, itll take 2 hours or whatever tonight for the Monster Hunter Rise game to download/install
@Slowdive I'm going to play more of the games before forming more of an opinion on the series as a whole, considering the NES entries of most series are usually their worst, and there's always that one well-regarded entry in a series that I just don't like (for Final Fantasy, it's X). It's just a pity that it's so difficult to play DQ IV - IX today if you didn't keep up with the DS/3DS releases of the games. I guess most of them are on mobile app stores, but I'm one of those people who'd rather not play a game at all than have to play it on a phone.
Emulation is probably going to be my best bet for most of these games.
Ordered the collectors edition of Ys Origins, really enjoyed Ys VIII and Ys IX. So when I saw the collectors edition wasn't extremely expensive, I went for it.
I also got Among Us and Panzer Dragoon on sale. Kinda disappointed in Panzer Dragoon, it feels very basic. I know its an old game, but Lylat Wars and Sin and Punishment are more fun to play in my opinion.
The Sega Mega Drive Collection is a good compilation of those games. Although the collection has some audio issues. Some looping background music and harsh playback of some sound effects. I would've preferred a port of 2009's Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on Switch, but it's better than nothing I suppose.
