Topic: Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Can't believe we still don't have the Xenosaga games on modern consoles.

@TeaCatherine You know...I admit I had a hard time keeping up with both the radio and the conversation between Matthew and Na'el at the same time. I just rewatched the scene to listen to the radio specifically and OMG I definitely missed some stuff the first time around. The radio literally mentions the Coalition Government, Project Exodus, and the Earthlife Colonization project which are all terms from XCX. I can't believe I missed this the first time around, this is huge! I remember people talking about this being a possibility years ago (Like before Xenoblade 3) and I thought they were crazy 😂

@Ralizah I'm kind of curious did you ever bother with Future Connected? I know you said that you were going to play it whenever they gave the release date for XC3s DLC but given how short the window was I'm sure you didn't get the time 😅

@Vortexeo I never played X but based on it's setting I always guessed it took place in Klaus's world. (Partially because when I first played 2 I didn't know much about the series and assumed the Saviourite rebels were to do with X rather than Xenosaga.)

@Vortexeo Nah. I thought the DLC was going to release in September or something, lol.

Since I'm into the XC3 DLC now, I'll probably just save FC for 2024 or later.

@TeaCatherine So I'm looking a bit more into the theory about XCX being canon and I found something that sort of clashes with the idea. I know you said you never played XCX so I'll put this in a spoiler tag in case you don't want to know. But at the beginning of XCX Earth completely explodes which means that nothing remained. This clashes because in XC2 we can still see the land of Morytha which means the earth itself was still intact. Who knows though, they did retcon XC1 so maybe they'll do it with XCX 🤔

@Vortexeo Hmm, do you mean like the first cutscene or just near the beginning? If it's the first cutscene I don't mind watching it on Youtube for context. Yeah, that does ring a bell sort of, actually.

Oh thats right. Ya the cards didn't really do it for me. It didn't detract from the game, but didn't really add anything either. I like how the DLC does it.

@TeaCatherine If I remember correctly it's pretty much the opening cutscene. I think one of the trailers for XCX show it as well.

@Vortexeo Ah, okay. Well, they've shown they're no strangers to retcons so that's probably the case here.

@Vortexeo Could be an unreliable narrator situation, where people thought earth exploded, but it instead went out in a bright flash of light. Not too heavy of a retcon either.

Just reacting to my man Rex Rex. I love his glow up and strong, commanding personality vs his boyish trepidation in XC2.

After 32 hours I have completed Future Redeemed to 100% completion!
I think this is actually the first Xenoblade game that I've managed to 100% complete without a guide! So I feel pretty happy about that (I don't entirely remember if I used a guide to 100% Torna but I'm pretty sure I did look up some stuff)

This is also my current record for a chain attack in future redeemed. I've seen people get much higher so I might experiment more in the future!

Spoilers for late game: I was playing some more XB3, and I decide to go back and looks at the founder statues again now that I understand what the descriptions mean. I was reading the description to the Central Plinth and it mentioned an additional Founder. This Founder is Riku, no?

@TeaCatherine Yup! I added Tactical Manual 14 in particular. It's very helpful as it grants the entire party power charge as well!
