it will have crazy good battery life but it can only play old 8 bit games? be a lot thiner wont need a fan. the cpu will be slower and crazy lower watts.. i notice so far on my switch i play a lot of old nes games on it.
There's no reason for such a device to exist with those kind of limitations and be a "Switch". As others have said we do have the Game & Watch devices, technically they could make one of those but with more ROMs included. Technically you can get into some legal grey areas and do something along those lines already..... but a lower spec Switch SKU? No.
With that said there's no reason why when they eventually revise the Switch hardware they couldn't go the same route Microsoft has gone. Make a "Pro" high end SKU with the faster SoC and also a budget SKU with a lower powered SoC. Maybe have the budget SKU as a Switch Mini with a 4" 720p OLED screen and a size similar to the original 3DS but a newer but underclocked SoC. Then have a Switch Pro with the newer SoC but with a higher clock and a 1080p 7" OLED

Correct and we have to ask why is someone Trolling such posting. If they haven't noticed there are remastered older Nintendo games that were popular coming to Switch carts.
