Why is it getting harder to find the Switch Oled red/blue? It’s not impossible but I’ve been seeing them selling out everywhere recently.
Why do so many people that own Switches not use them anymore? It seems everyone raves about them but most that own them, barely use them. I’m on the fence on getting one for my kid (9yr old), he uses an ipad, and big into Roblox, I feel he would get bored with the switch and end up going back to the tablet. The struggles.
@ssurj Dekudeals shows most retailers in US have them in stock online.
Historically, though, stock of Switch consoles at physical & online stores has sold out regularly every holiday season of the Switch's life cycle so far - from late November into the first couple weeks of January. For example, they can sell out one week, and maybe get them back in the coming days or the next week.
You can use dekudeals, a price tracking website, to find online stock at major retailers.
If you have a local Target, you can call their electronics department and ask if they have any stock in-store. When they replenish stock, they usually restock them early morning before the store opens. When I used them a couple years ago, if they didn't have stock, the electronics department person could tell you if there was stock at other targets near by, or possibly when they're getting new stock.
Best Buy and GameStop locations may be able to offer similar info, but I've only used Target to track down a console, myself.
This holiday season was the first time I saw Switch bundles at considerable price mark downs.
Retailers are liquidating inventory in anticipation of the new hardware.
Nothing lasts forever.
