The 3DS is still selling, in fact I'm still surprised they're still supporting it. Nintendo's notorious for dropping support pretty early as soon as they release a new platform
@Trajan
"Backlash" is possibly too strong a word. It's more of a vocal lack of interest in anything 3DS from people who have moved to Switch that rubbs some of the people still on 3DS the wrong way.

@ReaderRagfish
Sure but my point was this isn't people complaining the 3DS is getting content. It's people being apathetic about content that isn't on Switch. I was one of those people asking that question for Metroid. It wasn't about the game being on 3DS, it was an observation that I know I won't get this because I have moved on.

I think there is a coming of minds in Nintendo where games that can be put on the 3DS will be but one has to remember the 3DS isn't a Nvidia GPU so there's the limit. And just because it can be will the outcome be what is desired in Graphics. But if your games is 4 player and 3DS is cheaper that is less then buying 4 NSW to do a 4 player. So there comes a cost factor as well if you want more then 4 but NSW can do four but I wouldn't play it on the single NSW but 4 NSW or a Big Screen HDTV for everyone to enjoy. So there are ins/outs for each and one will cost more then another.
