@Snaplocket
so? not everyone has played those games, and even with those who have, there would still be people who want to play those games on their switch, even if it's just for the chance to spend more time on their new system.
I don't think there's anything wrong with remakes. Even if people say they don't offer anything they are still a part of gaming history and some of them are quite good that it would be a shame to have them disappear. There's a reason why Shadow of the Colossus is considered one of the best reveals at the PS4 E3 show.
I just pray that they are working on a WiiU VC so that my collection of digital WiiU games doesn't go to waste, the only reason I bought so many games on the WiiU is because I thought they would work on the next set of systems (Switch/NX). But instead I just have thousands of dollars worth of games rotting away with nothing I can do about it. And NO I don't want deluxe versions, nobody wants to pay 2 times for the same game with some extras just make a VC that works with the digital library from WiiU.
If they are not working on it, then i'll for sure be buying a lot less for the switch since technically the games will only work for a little while and become useless the next time they decide to throw away backward compatibility.
And Pikmin Worlds, but I'm sure we'll see more in a direct later. The former is a suped up version a 3DS game, the latter would probably get lost in the sea of announcements.
But overall, some more unexpected surprises would've been nice. At least a left-field one. I guess that was Mario + Rabbids, and now I remembered the meaning of "out of left field"...
Oh, so apparently Pikmin World was not actually a thing. Damnit, this is why I hate rumor-mills...
No Sucker Punch game announced at Sony's conference and a lack of Japanese games that Shawn Layden suggested would be there.
Nothing of importance from third parties in regards to Switch. I was hoping since we heard how Capcom was so influential in the Switch's development phase that we could at least get an announcement of RE VII for the system.
I've got Mario Kart 8 on Wii U and all of the DLC. It's great and I'd love to have it on Switch but at a price upward of £40 I need more of a carrot than just the convenience and the battle mode. The promise of DLC with extra courses and characters from other franchises coming at the end of the year/spring 2018 would probably push me over the edge.
Bayonetta 3. The fact Platinum have been doing a jig across the internet about it just before E3, I assumed hey were ready to at least say: "It's in production".
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
Plenty, but that's not a bad thing, because from what I've seen thus far is more than plenty in itself.
What I still want to see is the following.
Deluxe versions (or ports if you are little boring) of:
Mario Maker
DKC Returns and Tropical Freeze (preferably as combo)
Paper Mario Color Splash
Wii Sports Resorts
Sequels to:
Animal Crossing
Wonderful 101
Bayonetta
Pikmin
Mario Party
WarioWare
Captain Toad
F-Zero
Mario Sports series (Preferably slugger or Football, no Strikers)
Other things
Virtual Console
Classic SNES
New IP's
New IP's again
BIG HUGE MASSIVE Amiibo centered sandbox game
More Sports games from EA
But there is plenty of time for those. I have faith in Nintendo. I have plenty of faith now
@Gamer83 I think Layden's quote was just referring to Monster Hunter: World. He was talking about Japanese games specifically coming back to console from mobile, and there aren't many other franchises that can do that.
@faint Oh sure, there are certainly a couple of alternatives; PayDay 2 looks like a pretty good co-op FPS & there's Splatoon 2, of course, for third-person competitive play - I feel like the overall game selection for 2017 will be more than enough to keep me satisfied! ..it's just the GoldenEye kid within me that would've liked to have seen a competitive FPS! ..I'm sure it's just a matter of time!
I was kind of hoping for a Sonic Racing Transformed 2.
Also, a long shot, but a sleeper game that was a blast that I would have love to see another iteration of is Go Vacation.
But I do not know if another Go Vacation would be possible. I think it was a game or a product of its time. A very good, and I would say superior in many ways, take on the Wii Sports Resort formula.
That type of game is just not around today.
Star Fox
Secret of Mana collectino North American release
Announcements that Nintendo had deals with 3rd party developers to use and develop games for 3rd party characters that are very connected with/identified with Nintendo such as Mega Man and Castlevania.
I am thoroughly impressed by what they've shown and announced. To be fair, so of the biggest announcements (Switch Pokemon, Prime 4) likely won't be around for at least a year from now, but they have a ton of stuff that is high on my list that is coming out this year, many of them I didn't know about prior to E3. I'm not sure Nintendo alone has the resources to produce more than what they already are.
I'm slightly disappointed that there's no info on the Switch Fire Emblem, and there are certainly some IPs that I'd love to see revived (Custom Robo, Golden Sun) but there's more coming down the pipeline for the Switch and 3DS from just Nintendo than maybe ever. I honestly can't think of an E3 where Nintendo has had more reveals of games coming out so close together, and I've been following E3 for at least 15 years.
But if I had to make a list of dream scenarios...
Custom Robo sequel
Skies of Arcadia sequel
Fire Emblem Echoes of PoR and RD (in one title!) and Fire Emblem Binding Blade on 3DS VC
Final Fantasy Tactics (Advanced or otherwise)
Tales of (info? isn't there a Tales of game coming to Switch?)
And obviously, Super Smash Bros (at least with new characters if it's a port)
I'm sure there are more that I could think of, but my expectations were shattered already. I have nothing more that I could reasonably ask from Nintendo. 3rd party support is still lacking, but it's already better than with the Wii U.

I had expected them to show off UltraSun/UltraMoon on Treehouse Live due to its November release but alas, it was not meant to be. I'd be a bit sad now if ARMS didn't release today.
