Are there any demos you can download that have online out of the gate ?
I swear someone said Rise has it.

@NintendoGamecube Not sure, but Rocket League went free-to-play, and that has excellent online multiplayer. Like Fortnite, it will prompt you for an email address initially. That's how they support cross platform - you can have the same account on different platforms. I think the game may let you skip that though. With Rocket League, now owned by Epic Games, they let you sign in with your Nintendo account. So, you don't need a new password. After initial sign in, you'll never be prompted again.

Rocket League also has split screen multiplayer for to people.

If you do get it, play through the tutorial. It's brief, but very helpful.

Two games I never expected to like, Splatoon 2, and Rocket League, they became my post played games on my Switch.

@NintendoGamecube Rocket Leagu'es main attraction is their 5 minute online matches, which are quick and easy to jump into. 3 vs 3 car soccer is "Standard". You can play 3v3, 2v2, 1v1, 4v4. You can join Casual matches (that's how I played for the first 30+ hours), or Ranked matches. Ranked does the best job of matching players of similar skill level. So, don't be scared of ranked.

There are other game modes, too, Rumble, Drop Shot, Snowday(a puck slides around like on ice, instead of a ball), Hoops(basketball).

You can go into Exhibition mode if you want to play against AI.

There's also a Training mode, which can be fun, too. Every time you improve your shooting or ball handling in there, it's very fun to take your new skill into online matches.

Anyway, the game design & it's physics are quite impressive.

@YusseiWarrior3000 If you made a thread asking for game demos that have online multiplayer, I don't think you'd find the quoted answer helpful. If you do know of one, by all means share. I can't think of any. I'm not sure there are any, actually. Free to play games might be the only option.

If there is a demo with online multiplayer, the experience likely suffers because too many people would likely quit games, or be screwing around.

Not sure about Demo's but Warframe is F2P and is one of the best co-op looter shooters I've played.
I haven't played it on switch but wouldn't have thought it plays any differently than it does elsewhere - Just wouldn't be 4k.

The only demo with online play I know is Boreal Blade.

Warframe, Rocket League, Fortnite, Skyforge, Apex Legends, Paladins, Rogue Company, Vigor, Arena of Valor, Warface, Poķémon Unite, and so on...
These are f2p (free-to-play) games.
Demos are something different. They're usually a small portion of a game that costs money.
