@JaxonH
Well, I will get that new Arkanoid game.... on PS5 since I want to build my PS5 games too.
Btw, I have never heard Siesta Fiesta 3DS before until I found it from Google image.
So I learned the hard way that Chaos Head Noah has a game-breaking bug that locks you from seeing the true ending. Horrible; what makes me mad is that the publisher still hasn't fixed it. And what pisses me off, even more, is that Nintendo Life never mentioned this in their review. They put the MC as a con, but not this.
A shame, really; I enjoyed my time with it. It was a horrifying experience.

Arkanoid would be great but those games really deserve a proper paddle controller. I think the last time we had something like that was on the DS with the paddle accessory. I never picked that up, as tempting as it was, and I think those games aren't really the same without it I think. I'd include things like Pong-like titles in that mix....
I remember when the Switch design was first revealed people's immediate thoughts went to different types of Joycon. Shame that never really happened (outside of the NES controllers-ish). You could get a LOT of milage out of a pair of "unconventional controller Joycon". Just imagine it, a Joycon pair with things like paddle, slide, ball, dial, microphone. Could open up all sorts of unique games

@skywake
Not sure I've seen such a controller before. Do you have any pics of one you own?
@MsJubilee
Can you report the bug to the dev team?
When I was playing Sniper Elite 4 on Switch, a couple guys mentioned a save bug in Chapter 3. I suggested they report the bug, which they did, and Rebellion eventually patched it out. Very few ppl played that game on Switch so I'm fairly confident it was a result of their bug report. I think it's worth doing, even if for the sake of other players who may encounter it.

I'm gonna say yes. The difference between the 6.2" LCD screen with fat bezel, dinky kickstand and 32gb storage, and the 7.0" OLED screen with thin bezel, amazing kickstand and 64gb storage, is worth it. In my opinion. Especially if you have a v1 Switch. Because then you're also getting double battery life.
Nobody can predict the future. A new Switch is coming at some point. This much we know. Could be next year. Could be in 2025. We just don't know. It will come, but when is anyone's guess.
So in my estimation, it's best to assess based on probabilities and outcome impact. Let's assume worst case- a new Switch releases next year. I assign a 40% probability of this happening. And assuming it does happen, you'd need to sell the Switch OLED to recoup costs and put toward next Switch. How much will you net from a Switch OLED less than 1 year old? I'd say at least $200. Maybe a bit more, but $200 is a safe guess. Even Gamestop will likely offer trade-ins with $200 off at a minimum.
So.
There's a 40% probability of losing $110. And enjoyment of using the OLED for 1 year. That's worst case.
Now. Compare to middle of the road outcome. Let's assume Switch 2 releases in 2024, a 20% probability. You can recoup $175 on the OLED. A 20% chance of losing $135 with enjoyment for using OLED 2 yrs.
Now. Compare that with the best case scenario. Let's assume Switch OLED releases in 2025, another 40% probability. You manage to get $150 at time of trade in, losing $160. A 40% chance of losing $160 with enjoyment for using OLED 3 yrs.
40% chance 2023 release - $110 paid to use OLED 1 year = $110/yr
20% chance 2024 release - $135 paid to use OLED 2 yrs = $67.50/yr
40% chance 2025 release - $160 paid to use OLED 3 yrs = $53.33/yr
Weighted cost = $78.83/yr. This is the most likely cost you will be paying per year to use the OLED until Switch 2 releases, whenever that is. Same as $6.57/month. But this assumes you keep the current Switch, and that skews the costs higher
We can only make decisions based on probabilities of outcomes, and weights assigned to those outcomes. The question is, are you willing to pay $6.57 per month to use the Switch OLED instead of the normal Switch? If the answer is yes, buy it. If the answer is no, don't buy it.
As mentioned though, this analysis is based on you keeping your current Switch, rather than trading in or selling it to help fund OLED cost.
If you were to sell your current Switch for even $155, costs would be cut in half. The question would then become, are you willing to pay $3.29/month to have an OLED Switch instead of the normal one. And, assuming you can still get $200 for the OLED in 2024/2025 (which is reasonably likely) the cost would be just $2.90/month. For me the answer is a resounding yes. But for you, it may or may not be. But at least now you can make a rational decision rooted in probabilities of outcomes rather than emotion.
Is there one made for the Switch? I've seen weird controllers from Japan for train sims and stuff. Surely a controller like that for Switch exists somewhere, no?

@JaxonH you know well The Game Awards, is a award that tend heavily on the western part of the game industry ( TGA 2020 showcased this heavily), me as a content creator that focus on news of the game industry, i need to cover this event, even if i dislike the way Geoff Keighly operate the event), i whised last year Metroid Dread could win GOTY, but they favor big cinemactic games, it Take Two winining the GOTY of 2021 was a exception of this rule.
@Giancarlothomaz
It Takes two was still a high budget game backed by EA from a creator that got on stage and gave them tons of publicity with a rant. A good game, no doubt. I don't think any game nominated has ever been anything less than great. But only the great games "within a specific, limited pool of choices that fit certain criteria".
Anyways, you're a content creator?

@JaxonH I did. I contacted the publisher(Spike Chunsoft) on Twitter and sent them a DM about this. I also sent them a bug report on the contact page they have on their website. So I did what I could do there.
Honestly, I would be very discouraged if they never responded or fixed this. It would show me they don't care.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
It should be a time to celebrate the games that shined bright that didn't have every journalist holding the publisher's belt while slobbering all over it.
Games like Triangle Strategy and Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Two of the greatest srpgs of all time. Let's see some recognition of that. Or Bayonetta 3. The best action game ever made. I could go on- there were lots of great games. But it would be nice to see some stuff recognized outside of the half dozen biggest AAA titles. And, sure they might get a nomination for a single category, for an award they won't even win and if they do, it'll be off screen.
It's just a complete joke.

@JaxonH yes i remember the creator of it Take Two saying ***the Oscar, and i have a YouTube Channel named Gian-notÃcias e Gameplay focused in games news, here a link for my channel, but my channel is in brazilian portuguese https://youtube.com/channel/UCGz7jvcS9o8ZbxZ_D1dVAeA
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope - Best Sim/Strategy
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom - Most Anticipated Game
My guesses for nomination but lose outside these categories are Splatoon 3 will be nominated for Best Multiplayer Game but lose to Elden Ring, Legends Arceus + XC3 will be nominated for Best RPG but lose to Elden Ring, Bayonetta 3 will be nominated for GotY but lose to Elden Ring, Mario Strikers will be nominated for Best Sports/Racing game but lose to FIFA 23, Bayonetta 3 + XC3 will reach the top 5 for Players' Voice but lose to Elden Ring.
