Oh, wow, I never knew about the mii going across the MyNintendo homepage, thanks, @JaxonH ... Although I have plenty of platinum points since I hardly spend them on anything!
@Fizza
I get email quite frequently from Nintendo. When a new game gets released from Nintendo. Or quite obvious for game DLCs from games I recently played. For example I recently started playing Smash quite extensively again and got an ad for the DLC Fighter Pass all out of the sudden.
@BruceCM
Oh ya? It’s easy coins. And you get those secret missions on occasion, too.
@WaveBoy
Yes, pro controller works fine. Ditto on Bioshock trilogy gyro. I blew up their Twitter and rallied the troops to join me, but they never followed through with a patch.
Highly recommend 2 things.
1) XIM Nexus controller, which makes hundreds of Xbox One, Xbox Series and PS4 games playable with flawless gyro (no PS5 support). I was just playing Killzone Shadowfall yesterday with gyro aiming. Doom Eternal, Bioshock Remastered, Mass Effect Legendary, Monster Hunter World, all the Call of Duty games, etc. Best $150 I ever spent. So good I bought a 2nd to have one for PS4 games on PS5, and another for Xbox One and Xbox Series games on XSX.
2) SteamDeck, which makes games both portable and with gyro aiming. Like XIM Nexus- not every game is guaranteed to be supported, but enough are that it’s well worth it.
@WaveBoy Microsoft is solely to blame for the absence of gyro in multiplatform PS4/PS5/XB1/Series X|S games as Xbox controllers don't have gyro. It's kind of understandable the XB1 controller not having it given gyro didn't take off in popularity among the Nintendo audience until a few years after the XB1's launch but there was no excuse regarding the Series X|S controller. Their decision though means if you want gyro controls in PS and Xbox games, you need to use a 3rd party solution like the Nexus controller @JaxonH mentions.
Saves are tied to the console itself, not the micro SD card. A system transfer of your Profile will carry your save data to the next system
Games stored on the micro SD cannot be read by another system. You will need to reformat the card in the new system, then redownload your games from the eShop under "Redownload" from the menu you see after clicking your user icon in the top right. No more than 64 concurrent downloads allowed at one time, so if you queue up more than that, you'll need to let some finish installing before queuing up more
Cloud saves are convenient for bouncing between multiple Switch systems and for archival purposes in case you lose/damage your Switch, but they're not really meant for permanent transfers. That's what the system Profile Transfer is for.
Hearing they're recoding Ark Survival Evolved on Switch from scratch, along with all the new content, was pretty surprising.
That game was definitively the worst Switch port of all time. Anything less than a full code re-write would be insufficient. And yet... that's exactly what they're doing. I can't believe they actually hired a studio to rebuild the game for Switch.
Here's to hoping it turns out well. I'd love to play the game on Switch (I have it on Steam, but got tired of the endless daily update patches and uninstalled it). Certainly can't turn out any worse, that's for sure.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
@JaxonH As in they're removing the original version and replacing it with the new one or are they making the most monstrous patch of all time? I'm assuming the former.

So what does the release schedule look like for switch for 2022? Trying to plan accordingly with purchases and games to start playing. I want a clear slate for XC3.
Welp, that announcement completely changed my plans for the next few months.
So, either Splatoon 3 need a little more time in the oven, or we're about to get the new release date for Advance Wars. That's my guess, anyway. Clearly something is taking Xenoblade's September slot.
Currently Playing: Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition
@Primo40295 Xenoblade Chonicles 3 in july?this is way sooner then i expected and @Grumblevolcano i think Mario+ Rabbids Sparks of Hope will release in august/septembre, Bayonetta 3 in octobre.
@Grumblevolcano stinks I'll have to cram strikers, 3 hopes, Live a Live and XC3 all in a short amount of time. I think I would've preferred XC3 to have the original September release date.
Well, that's certainly a nice surprise .... You could wait until September to play XC3 if you like, @NintendoByNature? I think that'll take priority for me over anything else around the time & there'll be enough time for Live A Live before much else comes along, though
